Oh we hate it, but you pugs complained so much about dying too fast. Now we have Tenacity and it takes FOREVER to clear a point. Adding a time limit does not solve this problem. Every time I hear you guys talk about diminishing returns on CC all I hear "let's make premades take 4 hours."

Anyway, stop assuming you know how high end pvp works and that we "want to play 2 hour matches". We don't, but thanks to people who can't play this game worth a dang, we are pretty much stuck with it for now.
There's no need to be agressive. I'm not assuming I know how high end pvp matches are played.
But I've played other games, that have timed pvp matches in high end teams with a pvp specific defense stat, and it still works well. I think that pvp matches should be somewhat short. with a time limit of 15 mins. like someone said, make gaining points faster. But I think there should be other options for longer matches, maybe other type of pvp, like Alterac valley in WoW, or open world pvp in module 3.

Sorry xD get a lot of angry people and I end up on auto-attack sometimes. Anyway I would totally support gaining points faster! That would make it a lot more fun.

It's okay, don't worry, I know there's lots of angry people around. :)
I think there's 2 ways to speed up matches. Make point gaining 2x faster, or make contested nodes still earn some points to each team.
The second solution would also make high end matches much faster, because I would assume (don't kill me XD) that they have more contested nodes.

66 to 1000, last match of a series of ten. Given the abysmal fail by Cryptic to implement the Elo, the poll should include "Remove the pvp leaver penalty", because a penalty can only exist when leaving is the unbalancing factor in an otherwise balanced context.
Russian leaderboard first page. The proof.

Anyone sitting at the campfire for 45 seconds or so should get booted and incur the leaver penalty.
Sometimes fighting till the end is going to be pointless, because you only give more points to enemy for kill/assist

Letting the opposing team get more points does hurt you. They're the better team. They deserve those points.

Yeah =/ we were actually just talking about this. It would have to be that you gain a reduced points amount if the node is contested but your team controls it. Otherwise, 5 TRs would.. It would be terrible lol.

Now I am going to kill you :p

They deserve a lot of points for being queued against a much less prepared team in a arguably broken system? I don't agree.
When the opposing team is stomping us, and camp us at the spawn zone, not wanting to do 1on1 then there's nothing else to do besides sitting at the campfire.

I'm a little conflicted as I don't like when an enemy forfeits too easily or even right before we win in other games. However in some circumstances I understand that games can be very demoralising and in that case a forfeit option would be nice.

unfortunately, some die-hards are under the impression that u should still fight that.

i have been matched with people like that. enemy team completely kicks us back without any or few deaths and waits at spawn. most people stop trying, but sometimes there r 1-2 people who keep jumping down and die in 5 seconds. they keep doing it until the end of the match while the rest of us just wonder if they r bots because anyone could tell that they were attempting the impossible.

Probably people aiming for the "most deaths in a PvP match" achievement (the actual name for it escapes me at the moment)

Immortal.. Which now that I think about it makes zero sense for a death award lol

little overkill to just get 20 more deaths than the last person though

Once again, much of this problem could be solved if PVP and PVE were separated completely. That way, PVPers would know that by joining a PVP match they are much more likely to face toons that have proper PVP gear and spec, and if PVErs wanted to enjoy PVP, it would be very clear that they'd have to do so on a separately geared and equipped PVP toon, and so they won't be able to wander into a PVP match with their PVE gear and spec, get stomped, and then cry for nerfs on the forums.

I agree totally. My first character is an HR, geared specifically for pvp, and very successful, however, in pve epic dungeons, he sucks badly without a complete retune, and even then, only barely adequtely performs compared to other classes and builds. My other up and coming character, a CW, is the complete opposite. Between the two of them though, I can enjoy the game's content fully, so I'm very happy.

Not dual spec, just dual characters.
No idea what my toon is now.

Being taken down sucks, but going down hard makes it more bearable. I can't see ever just giving up. At that point your not trying to win your just trying to get a kill. The Immortal title is not a badge of shame to me so much as something that tells me that person simply wont give up.

EDIT: If the match is a total early blow out, fighting 3-4 members of the other team will result in getting your toon killed, but it is also amazing practice at fighting multiple players a the same time. Ya my toon is going to die but if I can make it take 20 seconds for an entire other team to kill me, while killing 1 or 2 of them, I am happy.

    What he said.

Nothing better that taking out one of those 'invincable' team guys, and then laugh at him get all mad.

    Need a fast toon though.
