Suggestion: Redesign the appearance of CW's Champion Mage armor set

It is already a consensus among CW players that Champion Mage armor set looks ugly. It would be nice if its appearance can be redesigned.

Last time I checked the "transmute" functionality was still working. Don't you want to use that?

CM is ugly as sin but at least CW has some decent sets to transmute.

TR is stuck with funky leather skirts and looking like a demented murderclown in its T2 sets. I mean, really. Harlequin pattern armor and the world's creepiest clown mask? Skulker manages to avoid this, but also looks like you only own one set of clothing and never wash/repair it.

What I'd really like to see redesigned is the creepy clown faces all over things like CW's Shadow Weaver and TR's T2 sets. Ew.

Not only is CM not very impressive, but the new Grim sets use the same look...at least the Thau Grim set does.

I'm not really a fan of the low-rent-bondage-slave look either, but transmuting is always an (expensive) option.

Unless of course you can't roleplay your way to finding a skilled haberdasher in Neverwinter... :)

Its appearance would be 100% improved if we could at least disable visuals on shirts and pants.

I love this set, dont want any change, you can get a fashion clothes or transmute.
It is good to have diversity.

IMO, we already have a bunch of free-to-transmute weapon skins - perhaps it is time to shift focus and start offering free-to-transmute armor skins - specifically, helms and the main armor pieces - the gloves and boots aren't a big deal, and since the events seem to offer at most 2 skins per class, this would keep with that trend.

This could also be an opportunity to offer a new category of items in the Zen store - cosmetic armor items.

omg "demented murderclown" so much this

I actually completed a T2 set on one of my TRs recently and sucked up the transmute costs for the chest and boots so far because it was so awful-looking. Have to hold off on the bracers until I can reinforce them and I slacked on his leatherworking so it's still only rank 18.

I transmuted my MI rogue's skulker set to a random piece of blue gear just to get rid of the Road Warrior look. I've since switched from stealth to DPS, and to the Swash set, which has even bigger shoulder pads. When I get time, I'll start farming lower level green armor to find something that looks decent. I went with the Zealot armor for my WK - which looks looks pretty cool with the DC dyepack.

I've been saving Servitor gear drops (same skins as Zealot) for future transmutes on some TR characters. It's not the right look for Robbin though, so his is a +4 Tempered Evader, which has the added advantage of minimal dorky leather apron. Boots of Striding, like pretty much everyone else uses because apparently a lot of us are fans of clean minimalist lines on our gear. Gloves will probably be green ones from the level 40s though I'll have to see what the ones bought with lowbie seals look like.

Robbin Goodfellow @ my forum handle if you want a peek when Gateway comes back up. I think he's looking about right so far.

If you watch the video that Dio posted, you can catch a glimpse of my Whisperknife in her dyed Zealot skin armor. I had to pause and search to find her and the quality isn't very good.

I was thinking about the redcap armor from Gnarlroot for my MI, as the cleric version looks interesting. I haven't seen a picture of the TR armor though and haven't wanted to grind the lair to get it.

I like Champion Mage much better than any T2 set. Just because of the boots, gloves and helm - all T2 sets have so ridiculously looking items. Especially the boots, sickeningly

My husband uses Servitor skins on his TR in Blessed Gold. It's a good looking armor.

I'm pretty sure the Redcap has kind of a spiky bondage vibe to it, if I'm remembering correctly regarding TRs I saw using it. It has a punky spiked collar actually built in. I've never owned one because I haven't extensively run Gnarlroot with any character.

I've run Gnarlroot a lot because of the nodes and terror shards, but lately have switched to Celadaine for the blink dogs. I've either never gotten the armor or got it back when I was wearing Master Duelist (which looks decent once you switch to a tunic) so wouldn't have thought about using it as a skin. I don't want to ditch my old MD set, but I really liked the high collar look on it. I should probably just buy various level green armor from the AH and try it on to find something I like.
