[BUG] Fool's Crown of Neverwinter Free Appearance change not working

Currently, if u try to change the appearance of an equipment u have for the Fool's Crown of Neverwinter, despite the descrition saying its free, it actually doesnt work. It charges for the standard price.

    Is yours from this event or from the first Tymora event? There was already one person mentioning that an old one was trying to charge him (and came with bonus character baldness!), so I'm curious if the issue applies to items dropped in both events.

    the one he has is one of the new ones (not it says bind on equip, the ones from the first time were all bind on pickup)

    not sure about the baldness issue, I've had friends who used the old one for a transmute and had no issues with this

    It's really amazing how the QA for the game works: just a single attempt of transmutation would reveal the Crown is bugged (not free), which means they haven't tried it a single time :mad:

    This should be entitled the "Best job in the world": they do nothing and yet receive their paycheck.

    I just burned 51k AD on this. Tried to cancel the transmute but wasnt fast enough. I only got one last event and I was so excited to get one on my other character that i just powered through the transmute thinking it was free as stated. There goes about 3 weeks of AD generation on my alt :(

    If I were their programmer, I would not go home until I fixed all these easy-fix bugs.

    They don't play the game, don't listen to player's suggestions / warnings.
    This has been a complete disappointment....

    It's the 13th and they still haven't fixed it. There was even an unscheduled maintenance today. What were they doing?

    Today is Thurs. The normal scheduled day for all maintenances. We do not know what is being patched today as there is no patch notes yet.

    So their idea of fixing this is to remove the Free Appearance Change text from the item. Awesome! (SARCASM)

    YEAH LOL I noticed that too , I was certain somebody had posted a screenshot of the text that said it was free but I wasn't sure , that is plain lame , especially considering it was cmpinpointerror who told us it would be made free ,it is pretty much a worthless item in it's current form with the ridiculous 51k transmute charge.
