Can you change your idle combat animations?

When I downloaded this game I was under the impression I would have a combat stance like what the screen shots showed.

I usually do not really care how the weapons are held or any animations. But for some reason the Rogues "hoppy / jumpy" animation when standing still is really lame and annoying in my opinion. Is there any way to change it? I was thinking there may be since the screen shot shots a idle combat stance that is much different than what I see after I use a dodge roll. Am I forced to see this hop/jump idle animation all the time if I use a rogue? Is there no way to change it? I am willing to pay zen for an opportunity to change this.

Rogues used to run around like that all the time but it was actually a bit nasty on the eyes because it seemed like all of the characters were just itching to fight all the time and offered a bit of a disconnect because it looked uncomfortable over long periods of time.

Wizards were the worst offenders. Say "Smell my fingers" to anybody in Alpha or the First Beta and they will know exactly what you are talking about. It looks really good in combat but when wizards ran around with two fingers pointed up Dragonball Z style for long periods of time it actually made your fingers cramp.

However I do agree it would be great to have a toggle. Sort of like a Sheathed Weapon or Draw Weapon Option.

All the time was overkill but having the ability to turn it on, especially in dungeons, would add a cool extra element to the game.

Guess rolling a Ranger is my only hope for a serious idle combat animation lol. I love everything about the TR aside from that horrid hopping around like you are in a boxing ring animation. For some people I am sure it is great. For me...it lacks the serious appeal my character needs. I prefer the quiet assassin look, that does not hop around like this lol.

Do they do that hop as default? I always thought the hopping was a bug caused by taking one of the Sharandar boons , Fey Thistle or something ( sorry if that's wrong , I can't remember the correct name off the top of my head ) .

I think it'd be a really cool if they would start adding cosmetic changes like this in the ZEN store. Perhaps they could also add variations to enchantment visuals, new stances, different ability cast animations, ect. Unfortunately they could have a slight impact on PvP, but I am sure it would be easy to catch on to considering the general simplicity of the variety of enchants/moves used and I think it would be really cool to add customizations to these kinds of things.

Yes, it's Fey Thistle that constantly puts everyone that's taken it from their idle stance into a combat stance. TRs hop, GWFs put their sword across their shoulders, GFs take out their sword and shield, CWs go into proctologist mode, etc.

If you just want to stand neutrally, don't take Fey Thistle.

Wow ,After reading that I let out a huge sigh of relief , I respecced my character yesterday to swap out Augmented Thayan bastion and take Rampaging madness and I very nearly took Fey Thistle , So relieved that I stuck with Elvish fury instead , I hate the CW combat stance xD .

I won't take Fey Thistle on any of my characters, no matter how good they are at deflecting. The popping in and out of combat stance gives me fits.

There are no animations for drawing or sheathing weapons so I suppose you'd have to start there...
