I have the following problems with your review:

    1. Listing control wizards 3rd on the DPS chart
I was topping Damage charts at level 60 with blue gear and I've yet to be bested by anyone but another CW. A friend of mine has a vorpral + eye of the storm and nobody's gotten close to him.

    2. Lack of mention regarding game stability-
It's not encouraged on the forums but reviews should contain mentions regarding how well the developers handle bugs and exploits and the time frames for them. It's an important factor for people who are thinking of spending money on a game.

    3. You reviewed the foundry without trying it for yourself-
The foundry is highly restricted which means that most content has to be story driven or have something to make it stand out. You should try it out before you review any part of it, otherwise you're giving a half review and there's nothing more dangerous than a half-truth.

    4. You mentioned the packs were worth it without going into detail-
Most of the feedback I've seen regarding the packs is negative, people feeling that their packs were quickly devalued after newer packs came out with more content in them. Don't make a comment that all the packs are worth it unless you bought or considered buying all of them, instead point out the Feywild one (which you have experience in after newer ones came out) and discuss why you prefer it in that section.

    5. Devoted Clerics aren't all that tanky-
Due to righteousness they lack the ability to self heal in any respectable manner. If you try and tank as a divine cleric you're dead very very quickly. They have DPS routes and Healing routes but little outside those two builds. I notice you didn't play very long as one (or so you said in your review) and a game like this is one you can't review a class based on anything but level 60. You simply level too fast.

    6. You're overpraising the community a lot...-
The community of Neverwinter isn't especially bad or good and I've seen my fair share of both the best and the worst. There are just as many people who are willing to help out everyone they meet as there are jerks who will kick you at the very end of a dungeon specifically so you don't get the loot. The problem is that the former are mostly in guilds and have learned not to converse with most people outside of the guild.

    7. Underpraising Sominator-
He's more awesome than that and you'd better show it in colors... but I find your lack of a section for the others on the cryptic ladder a little OCD-instigating. You can't just single out one community manager, say he's awesome, and that's the review for the staff. If you haven't met any of the other developers ask why, reviews have to be critical or nobody will ask the questions and fix things. Also PWE and Cryptic are two separate entities (their touchy about that) so you shouldn't see PWE developers testing out the game to start with :P

Other then that, no complaints :P and coming from me and my standards that's a big compliment :D

Wow, whata great review! So many points to talk about, but I'm going to focus on the Graphics.

I used to be one of the people that said graphics and art dont matter in online games. The only thing that makes a good online game is its content.

I'm a current Utima Online player, been playing it since it was released some 16 years ago. As you can imagine a 16 year old game inst going to have cutting-edge art or graphics. I got used to it over the years and focused on UO's content (which it has tons). I got to the point thats ALL i cared about in a game was its content. Until I started playing Neverwinter Online...

I gota tell ya, some of the environments in this game look so stunningly awesome that I felt like I was on happy drugs for a few minutes! LOL! Ok, maybe not happy drugs, but It sure is awesome to play a game that looks as good as NWO. Graphics DO matter to me now. They DO add to the game, and make me want to login to play. I never played a game that looks as good as Neverwinter Online and I love it!

Now for the bad. Everytime I log into my beloved UO, I am disappointed by how it looks! Infact I have posted on the UO message boards begging the dev team to make UO look like NWO! lol! I probibly shouldnt have done that, as so many of UO's player base have the "content is king" mentality that I used to have "Graphics dont matter". I wish i could convince them that it does matter and that it DOES add to the game.

I feel so torn apart on the inside now... I if I had to choose one and only one... which would I choose... I've loved UO for many, many, years... but this new one is sooo beautiful... so fast and sexy! Surely theres more to her then just looks?

At this point It would be hard to choose. Maybe your review could include in the graphics section a warning: May cause you to leave your current game... cause (NWO) she's one sexy B*%^$! LOL!

One of the issues I have with reviews, (not singling yours out, OP), is that a completely new person's perspective on the game can be very critical, while someone who has played for a while will have a drastically different take on things - perhaps more forgiving in some areas, while also being even more critical in others.

NW looks great, and is easy to pick up and start playing. The problems arise when it comes to actually getting anything outside of combat done. Learning about invoking, companions, astral diamonds, the exchange, professions, the queue system, all the different currencies, at-will/encounter/daily/class abilities can be a bit overwhelming, and that's not counting the rather slow speed of travel (on foot) until you get your first mount. Heck, the fact that you don't generally get headwear or gloves until you're about 20, can be off-putting.

IMO, the devs need to focus on drawing players in, educating them on things like bounty masters and other game systems, THEN focus on keeping them playing and paying. Artifacts, the change to refining, and so forth, may be better for the game financially, but it deters casual players.

maybe someone should post out of combat guide for the newer players teaching them each and every small detail that they need to know while still giving them a chance to learn on their own what works.

That way people in game will already know what and how to do it without having to ask other players for their knowledge and instead get snide remarks...

Then again newer players usually need to get to a point where they qq to even get to the forums.

and even then getting gamers to read anything is a hassle.

. . . Folks, there's no need to pick apart and criticize other's opinions. Please stay constructive and respectful. Such posts have been moved to the depths. Thanks to those who provided constructive feedback and to future ones! Indeed!

I kinda disagree, the game for me was really easy to get the hang off and understand, try EVE online. It seems like a game I would really enjoy, but heck it's far too complicated. I mean I would love to learn it but I have no where to start.

Thank you everyone for your views and opinions. I really appreciate it. [Sorry for any spelling and/or grammatical mistakes]
I did state this in the end of my review:
Please note that I am no professional reviewer, and I am basically doing this to try out my “reviewing skill”. I would love to hear some feedback and other peoples opinions. I know there is probably some bad information and some times too much rambling, but that is how I am, though I will try to fix this.

I am no professional reviewer, and I do not try to say that I am. I am just trying to get into it and help people make decisions, though in the end, it is all about the consumers choice.

@hiddenfate: I agree that I should have included more information regarding the games' stability and such, but read the quote from my website. I should also have included more people (from Cryptic) and praised Sominator some more, but I was tired, it was 2AM and it was difficult find legit stuff to talk about.
    As for the foundry, I have not had time to try it, seems weird that I have time to write a 10 hour review, but not try out the Foundry. I am going to soon, but I have a lot of stuff coming first, sad to say. As for the part regarding packs;
I love my Knight of the Feywild pack, and I do not see in any way how people could complain about a pack, of course the $200 Founder pack seems kind of "underpowered" in the language of gamers, and possibly a lot of people feel ripped off about that. The only way to fix that, is to maybe, add some special to that pack (for people who already has purchased it, of course).

I very much agree with you, and I do not mind that you have a thing for reviews, after all, most of them are very "personal", seeing as the person writing them has played a lot of the game, explored a lot, etc. It might also contain spoilers, something I am trying my best to avoid. ^^

Haha, to be honest I have not heard of that game, but I have played some "Old school" games myself, referring to another post of mine (on my website): My MMO history. I must agree, after playing Neverwinter for a couple of hours, I cannot return to games like Forsaken World nor Battle of the Immortals. It is so weird, but that is how it is.

Great idea, though that is not in my line of work. I could give it a shot when I learn how to play all the classes, xD

EVE Online, oh man. I tried that game for, heck 3 hours, did not understand a lot. Kind of gave up. It was cool though, but I wish I could learn how to play it properly.
