So far, it's a pretty enjoyable skirmish. My only annoyance has been that some people run right past all the initial groups of enemies, don't give the rest of the team a heads up, then start fighting the red wizards on their own, and eventually head for Malus.
I just assume if I'm going to have to do like 40 skirmishes I'm not going to stop for every single add... most classes are aoe/have aoe skills so why not pull them all? I get more irritated when my party is killing one bandit...

Hey... as long as you COMMUNICATE what you're plan is, instead of just running off, then I'm fine with it. And since the team can be of a fairly wide level range, and if you do use the random queuing system, then there is kind of an obligation to work with that you got, and help out the potentially lower level or lesser equipped players on your team. You can always form or join a team of like-minded players if you don't wanna deal w/ PUGs.

Not that my polling is extensive, but people who've reported getting artifacts from skirmish chests have done so in the level 60 skirmishes.
I can confirm that they can drop for lower levels. I manged to get a lantern at level 16 from the Orc assault skirmish.
I had to pick my jaw off the floor after I looted it. After countless tries to get one on one of my 60's. To have it just fall in my lap on a skirmish that I was just running on a lark for an alt. Left me a bit gobsmacked.
Feedback,
1. the SCA is awesome if it had a chance to drop the dyes and swashbuckler id probably have played it much more.
2. I LOVE how the transmogs are BOA. this means I could get my level 6 archer stuff with my level 40 cleric or level 60 mage which im sure made everyone much happier
3. I do wish the buccaneer had a buy for coin version. though this may require people to feel the need to grind.
4. Pegleg should have been BOE
A suggestion for SCA in general,
Id love to see some achievments for things in SCA ie
1. Glass jaw - taking out a foe with one roll
2. !-2 punch - Taking out a 2 combat block foe with 2 rolls.
3. KO - taking out a 3 block foe with 3 rolls
4. Specialist - taking out a foe with only specialty die
5. Nailbiter - taking out the foe with the last possible roll
6. Beginners luck - running a dungeon with all level 1 pets and winning
7. Cakewalk - running a dungeon way lower than your pet levels
8. red mist - talking out that last shield with a 3-6 shield die
9. lift with you knees - beating a challenge with the worst possible toon (ie a Magic+key challenge with your fighter or a 9 shield challenge with your cleric)

I would be guilty of being one of those GWF with a Perfect who clears 85% of the CTA. 1900 Medalions, my Field Medic title, and only one death to unstoppable not popping, I have to say I had a really good time. I even had a good time on my level 6 TR when I ran her for the trans, and I topped the damage charts a few times against 60s in T2s-amusing to no end considering I had no stealth and was literally still in the clothes I got on the beach.
The store selling the transmutes was good and the prices were fair.
Transmutes: Liked = GF-sword only, TR blades, CW orb, DC icon, HR bow. Didn't like, GWF axe- too small, GF shield- too small, HR axes- too simplistic in comparison to the bow.
I missed the little baby chests.
The companion looks great, from what I saw of other people running it. I will probably hold mine and sell later because it doesn't offer a straight stat bonus. For that reason it wasn't a terribly great incentive to run content.
The enchantment coffers were a good idea, but the rewards were a bit slim. I totaled less than 5,000 enchantment points when all was said and done.
The dye was disappointing considering that it looks almost exactly like the Many Arrows Dye Pack when applied to armor. Something a little more piraty would have been nice. Red-Grey-Black maybe.
(Not that it really matters cause you can't see dye under the Soul-Forged shimmer. :P )
Loved this event! Nice and fast runs, plenty of action, and a really nice lucky streak the first day that got me 5 swashbucklers.
None since, but I guess 5 is a good lucky number That even (kind of) makes up for the 7 lesser potency marks I got from the purple chests.
Only thing I didn't enjoy was rangers DPSing the final boss. They constantly run away from him so he's moving all over the place, and it really makes it hard for melee characters like myself to hit him=a few extra minutes to each of those runs. So I agree with comments here- put a bit of thought into how to use your character best for team play
All in all- my favorite event so far. Didn't get sick of doing runs at all. And the barrel kicking!! My absolute favorite part of the whole thing
(but lag today is really horrible, I assume do to final even hours. can't even get my dailies done!)
I'm happy with it all, too. Got a swashbuckler for the character who wanted one (now my DC has all her active slots full, yay!), some dyepacks, and shiny transmutes for my CW and HR. The only thing I couldn't get was an axe for my GWF (just 40 medallions short, aaaugh), but that one's on me since I couldn't play the first day -- the cost was perfectly reasonable for the time frame. I hope all the future CTAs are set up like this; I'm happy that the companions were BoE so we can give away/sell any we don't want, and the shop things being account-bound -- for the cost that they were set at -- was perfect. Great job on this one.

The medallion system is SOOO much better then the old way! Sure the companion was a bit of a grind if luck wasn't on your side , but I Only had to grind her and not ALSO grind for the weapon. Love the peg leg, was a nice bonus item. IMO best of the event dye paks so far, Really like the colors.
Very happy with the event in total. Did not feel "grindey"
Liked the Medallion system for the rewards.
The Refinement Cache was a good idea and a worthwhile sink for extra Medallions. Picked up a couple of Savage and Cruel Enchants in addition to LMP.
My only regret is that I "read/interpreted" that the transmutes were BoP per character but an earlier post in this thread says BoA !! Arrrrrgh !!!! I would have liked to get the bow and rapier running my DC or CW *facepalm*
Played my DC, GF and CW and bought transmutes for all. I liked the look of all the weapons more so than the Winters or the last CTA's. Didn't buy the Peg Leg but it looked great in game.
RNG Gods were kind. Received 6 Swashbucklers and 32 dye packs
Breakdown for Enchants from chest and battles R1- 534, R2-250, R3-80, R4- 32, R5 -16
Two thumbs up

They are BoP. They just bind to account and not to character.
Very unhappy with this event due to the amount of time invested and never got a swashbuckler (nearly 100 runs)
I feel like the dev team deliberately wasted my time.
They should have put the companion in the store...

Yeah a character bound version in the store for players the RNG hates would have been nice , as long as it wasn't some insane amount of medallions .
Actually yeah, that would be a good compromise to let people earn a companion without allowing super-grinders to farm over nine thousand of them -- make the drop BoE, and place one in the shop that's character-bound. That works too. I'm still happy with it as it is but I'm sure that means less coming from someone who uncharacteristically got one on their first run.

I wonder if they could make it bound-to-account on pickup, then bind to character on equip, so you could mail it to one of your own alts if you wanted to...

I really enjoyed every single CtA for far and this was no exception. A few things:
1) The queue system is severely broken. Quite frequently premade groups were split up when joining the skirmish. I can't narrow down reasons. Some thought setting the group to "closed" state would help, but I encountered the error anyway. It was very frustrating because it was hard to put together a string of three or more runs with a group. One member would always be randomly replaced by a pugging individual. This might be related to the "return to instance" bug.
2) BtA is great
3) The Refiner's Cache is a good idea, but is a waste in its current state. It's quite nice to have an item that can eat up the remaining currency stock, but people should know it's not an item that you grind for. The time is better invested in something else and even if I had accidentally farmed too many Medallions I would have rather kept them for the next CtA (assuming the Medallions are now the universal currency for all CtAs)
4) To enhance the PUG experience it is absolutely vital to limit the amount of lowbies in some way. Maybe it was bad luck, but a fluid group always consisted of at least three 60s. I like the concept of basically allowing every level to take part in the event, but I don't want to drag four lowbies through the skirmish because the speed and comfort difference is noticeable. I would probably PUG all the time if I knew I was teamed up with at least two other 60s.
5) The drop rate of the Companions seems a bit too high overall

My issues with this CTA are the same as with any other CTA I've done, and the main reason why I don't think I'll bother with anymore CTAs at all.
1. I got sick of the skirmishes on my way to 60, and there's no way i'm going to grind them all over again just because the rewards at the end are different. Why is it so freakin' impossible to change up the CTAs a bit, and make them unique? It's not like it would require a lot of work. I mean, the maps are already there. The enemies are already in the game. All they have to do is remove the enemies from the skirmish and add new ones, and voila! A heck of a lot more interesting CTA.
2. Even if I do bother try a CTA, the rewards at the end are useless. In the last one, I got 20+ lvl 1 and 2 un-refinable enchantments? Thank you so much for that. What the heck am I supposed to do with them? I can't refine them into something useful, and they don't sell for much. Even the lvl 3 ones I've got are useless to me. That leaves me with the occasional lvl 4 and 5 ones, but those are rare, and not all that useful anyway. And for that matter, the savage enchantments I got from the first CTA can be refined. So why not the brutal ones?
Weapon transmutes are fun, but waaaaay to expensive. I barely bothered grind up for one of those 150-ones, much less both. Or a 300 one? And that's for one character. Doing that for all six or seven? Hell, no. Not to mention I have one of every weapon from the first CTA, all found in the freakin' chest at the end. So why are the new ones so expensive? Plus, my lvl 60 rogue has two of those orc axes from the first CTA, and I transmuted them both when I reached lvl 60 and tought I had some nice weapons. A short whlie later I upgraded one axe, and now it cost 50k+ ADs just to transmute it back into an axe. Hm... no. Not a chance.
Not to mention the stupid companion. Do you really expect me to grind a dreadfully boring CTA for three hours to get a green companion? No way. I was extremely lucky and got it after ten-ish CTAs, but was really disappointed when I checked the quality and usefulness. The only way that thing can be useful is if I sell it on the AH for some quick ADs, but then all my hard, boring work would be for nothing. So thanks for that, Cryptic.
As a result, this was my final CTA, unless they really change the next ones. And I mean really change it. Have an old dungeon lik the Cloak Tower or Cragmire Crypts with enemies from the later areas in the game, perhaps. Maybe turn Cloak Tower into the new lair for the pirate king? Maybe the boss from Karrundax can move into the Cragmire Crypts? Anything but the old skirmishes over and over and over and over and over again!
(it IS a bug that they can't be rightclick refined, and I also struggled until someone pointed this doubleclick feature out, so you're not alone)
Also, the swashbuckler is surprisingly good. I've been pootling mine around the dread ring and she doesn't die very often at all. I'll sometimes finish off an iron golem and turn to find she's happily soloing the wizard.

Double-click? Odd, I'll have to try that. If I can find those stupid marks, or whatever it is. From lvl 1 to 49, I've found, ah, three of them. All lesser. Even epic dungeons or skill nodes (even during skill note boosts, or whatever) don't have them. I honestly don't know how to find them.
My Swashy has been very useful, tanking for my Control Wizzie, & it only took me 10 runs to get it. But YMMV, as will the fun. Personally, I had great deals of fun, made a good amount of money, & acquired tons of refinement points for my artifacts & enchants, so it's all good
Fare you well

We're looking at your suggestions for future CTAs. Much appreciated!
First I want to thank the devs for keeping the events coming. I, personally, found leveling up to be quick enough that I skipped the regular dungeons and skirmishes, so being able to revisit them is a nice way to experience content I may have missed. That being said, here is some additional feedback I'd like to provide:
1. Companions are great! You guys do a great job on them, and they all have their own character. I'd prefer we got more tank, healer, and controller ones - the winter event was particularly great in this area.
2. Dye kits are also a great way to customize our characters. I only wish you guys would throw in some more vivid colors, instead of what seem to mostly be browns and greys.
3. One thing this event highlighted for me is that players will not stay together if they are placed via the random queue. Consider adding a wall or gate that doesn't open until all or 3/5, 4/5 players reach a certain checkpoint. The the most recent CTA, I would have placed one such barrier behind Crag Foultooth, one just behind Jareth Grimm, and another behind the Red Wizards.
4. The medallions of battle were a great addition to this CTA. Consider adding the companion or special reward to the medallion vendor. Also consider allowing the chance box that you can buy, to drop R5 enchants.
Keep up the great work!
