Can large chest upgrade to very large chest?

Wondering if the blue leadership chests can still upgrade to purple ones on occassion. Saw the notes mention an increase in mark drop rate so thought I'd burn up a sample of 550 or so on one of my toons that I saved up and about 200 or so barrels. The barrels had a few upgrades, but none of the chests appeared to. I wondered if the new patch broke it maybe?

    They can, but what I've noticed is that even when they do, you don't get a purple border, so it's really hard to tell when they open as higher unless you're actually counting the profession resources or runes dropped. But you can tell it happens for sure when it gives you healing potions, since the purple boxes give major, not greater.

    They finally fixed the tooltips, and it looks like they removed the minor marks of potency from the barrels and higher, so hurrah for that.

    Yes, but it would require the very rare and coveted "Implant Enchantment, Rank 10".

    They can, but you will only notice when opening them: for instance, you can receive 7 major potion of healing instead of 2 of greater healing (this has happened a few times with me) and this is an indication your chest has been upgraded.

    Ah yes, I did get some major healing pots. So I guess it's just a bug on the border :D

    unfortunate even the big chests don't offer very much. Shame as it is pretty cool earning one and then realizing nothing that good is in it.

    I got a few minor stones and some gold from selling greater pots which is better than nothing, but yeah, the reason I have so many is coz I don't want HAMSTER clogging up my inventory, so I had 2500+. The AD is the most important part anyway.

    With enough silicone, you can make ones chest almost any size. :p

    You can actually get a mark of potency which is quite nice. I assume it's rare though. You can also get rank 4s and also pearls which would suck a lot.
