Old Lairs

Each adventure zone has 3 lairs that aren't seeing much use beyond questing while leveling. Please consider making level 60 versions, and a rotating daily quest that would send adventurers out to revisit the Scoundrel's Retreat in Pirates' Skyhold, the Cathedral of Madness in the Chasm, or other wherever.

Stuff some interesting rare drops into the end chests, and sell keys if people are desperate to repeat a lair. I understand that players generally want development focused on new content, but I think is worth consideration.

    Whoa.

No, that's not it. But rather: WHOA!

The problem (it's a massive problem) with this is that it just makes way too much sense.

Please count me in as a vote for this idea. Not all of us with Level 60 Characters are itching to do the Feywild or the new Valindra grinding bit. I'd love to redo Cathedral of Madness and the Sanitarium in Helm's Hold, too. Jethro Grim can just stay dead for all I care, tho'. I hated that one. LOL

That's an interesting idea, and would make good use of existing assets.

Excellent idea! There are several nice places you only visit once (per character, if you have alts). Some of them could be reworked a bit and made into a "daily" with special loot available only there :)

Rotate them in during CTA's with the appropriate skirmish for additional rewards that way revisiting them is something fun you can look forward to for unique rewards.

I don't even want any fancy epic rewards, I just want a chance to collect those unique looking pieces of gear from the Lair bosses. I would really like to have a shot at those Lairs again.
They could make it an alternative to Skirmishes. During Skirmish event, instead of teaming up with other players and run a Skirmish, you could run a Lair of your choice.

    +1

I've also thought of this before and posted a thread about it a very long time ago :)

As long as it's designed for groups, you have my vote. We need more group content.

+1. This is seriously the best idea I have heard in a while.

I'll join in the adding of ones!

I would love to fight that crazy B**** Rohini again, or a suped up Rime Hound.

I've played through these areas 4-5 times each, and I still consider taking the unique appearance gear and transmuting my epic gear to it on some of my characters... It would be fantastic if they would make epic versions of the unique gear. If there were slight texture/model changes signifying more power or wear on the item, it'd be even better. Fantastic idea!

You can try your luck with the Bounty Master in each area, you can trade bounties for random Lair loot.

My +1 is in the pot for this idea.

Rohini? YES! I don't share Tornnomar's enthusiasm for the Rime Hound, though. :P But to see, perhaps, a souped-up version of the rather visually distinctive rewards, possibly as free transmutes? I remember getting something from Rohini during my TR's levelling adventures in the way of headgear that was quite striking. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it could have been a future transmute for the currently ghastly mask that is a part of all the TR's level 60 head pieces, and sold it off at some point. I can't even recall the name of it now, but I'd love a chance to take a crack at that as a visual overlay.

The idea. The mind behind the idea. Pure awesomeness!
I have the ability to heal you. A shield to protect you. Blades to slay your foes. Magic! So I'm a tiefling, so what? We have a common enemy, and a common goal. Here, you can put ornaments on my horns if it'll put you at ease.

Mask of the Succubus. If not that then [Something] of the Succubus. Should be cheap on the AH.

Kind of cool idea - i wouldn't mind doing it but don't make it ANOTHER daily, i already spend too much of my game time doing dailies (i actually find them rather annoying).

Wow. I don't see many great ideas around here, so this is a nice change of pace. :D

Economical too - it'd take far less in the way of development resources than... well, almost anything actually.

    Big fat +1 here. :D

I thought about this also - and i love the idea.

I would love the idea of getting drops with random stats in that lairs. Image like on rings a max of 450 GearPoints and a min of 100. And you can get everything between that with every stat on it.

You are aware of the fact that you do not HAVE to do dailies?
Most stuff can be bought in a way or obtained in mass by a weekly quest.
The dailies are imho only for the "I need that ASAP ... and for free!" people (and I certainly am in that group) but there is no "have to" in that. It's my choice to grind 10 toons through the dailies in DR every day.

Im totally agree with this idea!

Lairs like the ones Dread Ring with minor/medium rewards would be excelent.

We you need a vote, you have mine.

I appreciate the answer, but I hate gambling especially when the odds are so small. I gave it many tries in the past and I never got anything but green gear.

Would be great to recycle some of these "one and done" areas. Would also be great to be able to increase / decrease the difficulty so they are "challenging" everyone as the GS and skill level spread gets larger every module in this game. A 18k GS GWF and a 9k GWF shouldn't be running the exact same difficulty IMO.
