I don't like lockboxes as they are..

I am tired of the randomness of the lockboxes. Every box should cough up one epic, two rares, and a few uncommons. I would be willing to pay for the keys if I knew there would be something really good in it every time. I would even be okay if the price were a bit higher. I will not pay for keys as it is now ... I have never gotten an epic from a lockbox so they are worth the 8 copper I sell them for.

    The point of the lockboxes in MMOs is that they are a gamle game. You seem to expect an awful lot for something that's worth as little as 45K AD or even "a bit higher". I generally consider it a good idea to buy things dirrectly from the AH if you're looking for something in particular.

    Also, mind the date of the last post in a thread before posting.

    I do not have 4.5 million AD to pay for a psudodragon on the marketplace.. I have <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> luck in getting what I want out of those boxes, and good luck in getting the <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> no one wants out of them. Aparatus of karwash and rust monsters out the butt, but not a single sylvian stag or psudodragon out of the fey boxes...
    This forum set up is absolutely horrible, I cant even figure out how to get my knight of the feywild title.

    .. you should not gamble if you are poor ...
    buy a ZEN Mount/Companion and be happy with that.

    Pretty much this , every free to play MMO I have ever played has had a version of lockboxes , you take a chance occasionally you win big most of the time you break even or even lose big time ,its all luck of the roll ( or RNG ) . If you want something guaranteed then save your AD up and buy from the AH .

    This thread is ripe for trolling. I find it a bit ridiculous that someone would complain about something like this.

    If that was the case, the key would cost 4-5x the price they are now, and we would come back to the same problem : some "rare" wouldnt be worth the price of the key. What those box work like in MMOs is having % chance for all of the items, cumulating the price of all of them whit their % and set a price for the key. Dont get me wrong, on 1000 try, you usualy "wont" make your money back (just like at the casino, its a kinda of "Zen-sink") Otherwise everyone would buy the keys and open boxes... and than, same probleme would arrive = too many item (like rust monster right now) selling for somewhat low price (300-350k for a purp companion?) so you dont really make your money back.

    My only issues with dropboxes is that they drop like candy and are auto-pick. Jesus, that's SO annoying.

    Save the stacks until the new boxes are out and sell them.

    Very few do. The point is that you are better off saving your AD and buying what you want from the AH, as it may be cheaper than opening Lockboxes till you get what you want. The Feywild Lockboxes had a lower chance of dropping the Pseudodragon or the Stag by the looks of it. They are a lot rarer and that's why they are more expensive. If the Companion and Mount are "out the butt" in the current Lockbox sell those till you have enough AD to buy what you want.
