Lone wolf is pure PvP. Makes your DR match this of a GF (even with lowbie gear) in 1v1 situations or even 1v2 situations. It's of course useless when you are rushed by 5 people but...when this happens I don't think that anything but dodging would help.
Plus you get the +25% bonus when you are sniped by a CW from a distance. Personally without having enchanted Defense AT ALL, I go to 50% DR in 1v1 situations.
updating more of the Interview today gonna put more in thith the archer section

3) Halfling > Half-Elf because +2Dex is greater than anything else the half-elf brings. Also last report I saw (could be out of date) was some half-elf racials are bugged.
sorry i dont understand this ?? does that mean hafling make it better or what??
I also would like to know for a combat pvp HR if i am going for a con build how high to take dex wis and strength
Here are my stats as an Endgame PvPer.
24 Dex, 20 Wis, 18 Str.
That gives 14% more damage, 10% Crit and 8% more Stamina and Armour pen. With my current gear set up, I am pushing the following in Melee Stance 44% Crit, 37% deflect, 37% Armour pen, 62% DR when no one within 15 feet, 30k Hp, 12% Regen, 7% Lifesteal
Im pretty happy with that stat layout. I don't think you can push that much more over what I have without making sacrifices somewhere else. I would stack more lifesteal, however, until people test the last boon from Dread ring I am not sure if it is worth stacking much more of.

pwr: id like to have more but then ive to cut other stats
crt: 38/39% might b enough but i like round numbers (40% with campfire) and more crts = faster recharge
arp: 24% with campfire buff nullifies all dmg resistance in pve (for now...)
rec: 18% with campfire and Prime Critical will do a nice recharge speed
def: u can get above 33% and more but dfl will do a better job with less points in def/dfl than only in def (diminishing returns)
dfl: dfl sux cuz its chance based but like i said above it does a better job with less points than only stacking up def (do we need arp-advantage in pve?)
lst/reg: a balanced mixture of lst and reg will keep u up all day long
hp: id like to have more but then ive to cut others
mov: idc for movement
for pve it will be FL/Fie for PvP it will be full master pred and t2 bow set

Hey V, havent read the whole thread, so sorry if its been asked already, but what do you think of the Dread Legion Armor set with the Fomorian Weapon set for an Archery build?
thanks for the response. If you do both pve and pvp equally, which set would you choose if you have to pick one?
I am going to update my hunter ranger guide in a few mins the brand new stalker set mite be the best new set to go for i will explain in a few

Binding Arrow/Oak Skin: The ranged attack works by applying grasping roots to enemies close to you so you can move away, instead of stopping them while they are away in the first place, For Nature builds the buff is good, when you apply it at 100% effectiveness to a party for PvP i recommend this skill for both the buff and the grasping roots this skill also is hard hitting and can give you a nice spike.
Binding arrow hits two targets one in front of the other and binds both them to a spot between them if it hits one then it roots them where they are and the roots are strong roots and they don't have to be close to you at all just in combat with you. and the binding range is 30' between targets at lv 3.
Why is Armour Penetration not considered useful for a Ranger? My first Ranger is level 17 and does not have much decent gear, but I'd have thought that Critical Strike, Armour Penetration and Power would be useful enchants. Maybe Deflection as well.
I am surprised to read that Rangers do more damage with bows at long range rather than closer in.

But what will b ur stats at the very end in % and why (in shadowmantle2)?
For example:
PvE-balanced-archery-spec +stone +companion bonuses (unbuffed):
pwr: 6.300 / crt: 39% / arp: 23% / rec: 17% / def: 27% / dfl: 24% / lst: 12% / reg: 13% / hp: +4.500 (~28k) / mov: 9%
