It's Sunday. Forget it. I'm sure they'll do something on Monday or Tuesday.

The most frustrating thing to me since day one has been the complete lack of a PW technical rep on the boards. If they would at least acknowledge the issues and give updates it would go a long way in my book.

going through this thread, the question i have is are the problems all game crashes or server disconnects? because these are two distinctly different issues.

and this forum is bug reports... so if the problem lies with a particular issue where the game's graphic performance needs to be tweaked, that will be researched and addressed. if you're looking for technical support, there is a different forum for that here.

These are all Server Disconnects. Where the server stops responding for so long and then you get kicked out. Happening to so many people since Module 2. The other Tech Support forums have many posts on the subject as well.

The problem here melodywhr, is that they're all server disconnections that happen in a way COMPLETELY unrelated to computer, software, ISP, game settings, computer settings, player location, ect.

I too, suffer from this continual disconnect issue (as well as a friend of mine who lives a city over here in SW Ohio). But here's the thing. Like practically everyone else I know about who's currently having this issue, the ONLY game having this problem is Neverwinter, and it's an issue I've ONLY had since Module 2 released. (I've been playing off and on since "launch" with no major issues before this). Furthermore, I have no interruption of service on any other internet-reliant program (like voice chat, internet browsing, watching videos, ect.) on this or any other computer in the house WHILE this disconnect issue is going on.

For example, as an experiment I had a skype call running on my laptop next to me while I was playing NW and these disconnects kept happening. Not only was the skype call unaffected when my NW game was, but the voice chat I was using to talk with a friend on THIS computer let me chat WHILE the game was showing me in red text "server not responding" and during the subsequent disconnect. This happened EVERY TIME, even when I couldn't connect to the login server, ect. NW would be the only program having a problem, everything else ran perfectly fine with no interruptions.

The disconnections happen randomly, irregardless of where I am in the game, my in-game settings, my computer (and what it might be running in the backgroud), time spend in game since the last disconnection(anywhere from less than 5 minutes to an hour), ect. I've even had the server stop responding only to log back in stuck between two walls I couldn't get out of. I've had this same "server not responding" and then disconnect issue:

-as the launcher tries to open
-at the launcher, trying to log into it
    -trying to patch the launcher
-REPEATEDLY (sometimes as often as every 3 minutes) while on the log-in screen, character select screen, or character creation screens.
    -in game in loading screens
    -in game in missions (instanced)
-in game in town (Protector's Enclave)
    -in-game in various other maps
-in game where I or the other person I was playing with would get the same "server not responding error" and would disconnect, but the disconnects never happened to both of us at once.

Sometimes it presents itself as an issue with the login server. This mostly happens after I disconnect in game with the "server not responding" bug and try to log in again immediately only to receive the message "connection with the login server timed out". It needs more testing, but my general experience was that there seems to be an unspoken server refresh time after you disconnect from the game with this bug, and it takes some time for the server to officially "log you out" once you d/c. My game always had "connection with the log in server timed out" pop up after I would d/c with the above problem and try immediately to get back in. Waiting a few minutes before logging in again SEEMS to fix it, but I need to try it more to be sure.

There were many times, however, that I'd try repeatedly, over and over and over, to log in after a d/c and get that same "timed out" error and have to try again. Sometime this same "timed out" would occur 4 or more attempted log-ins in a row, only for me to get to character select, press play, and get the "server not responding" error on the loading screen and get d/ced again. Other times, I'd wait two or three minutes after a server disconnect, log in fine, and be back in the game within minutes with no issue.

Mostly though, this bug presents itself simply as a failure of the the player's game to communicate with the server, leading to a disconnect with no bug-report window or true game crash, and occurs anywhere there is data transmitted from the player's client to a server or vice versa. (At least in my experience)

So to sum it all up. This thread does NOT belong in technical support, but in bug reports, because it's obviously not an issue that is client sided (at least in the traditional way as something on the player's end that we can fix on our own), nor is it a series of small, isolated issues. So please report this to higher ups so that it can get fixed and we who can't play the game because of this issue can get back to giving PWE our time/money. Thank you.

Must be your internet because I don't get any disconnects, I play NeverWinter with hundreds of people and my guild has not experienced this or come across this.

I can assure you, ISP has nothing to do with it. ANY other game runs fine, without lag or disconnections. I don't even "lag" in Neverwinter (outside of Protector's Enclave). If it were my ISP it would be a consistent problem across everything I play.

Furthermore, I have no interruption of service on any other internet-reliant program (like voice chat, internet browsing, watching videos, ect.) on this or any other computer in the house WHILE this disconnect issue is going on. It is not an ISP issue.

No this isn't ISP. My wife and I get these at different times and if it was ISP we'd get them at the same time. Also I've ran Ping/Speed Tests, Watched a LiveStream and Pinged Google over and over while playing Neverwinter and when I get a server DC I have no other disruption in service.

This is specific to Neverwinter since Module 2.

same issue here. it seems all these disconnects are completely random. some people get them, some people dont. nothing to do with isp or user end issues. sometimes i'll go a good hour or so with no issues, other times disconnect every few minutes. also, no issues at all before module 2 release. has anyone actually reported this to PWE yet? as in, through a ticket and not just a post on a forum? about to do that myself, i suggest everyone do the same. the more people annoy them with the same ticket, the faster it will get noticed. they haven't made an announcement of this issue on their facebook yet (which they usually do with issues like this), so i'm not sure they are completely aware of how widespread this problem really is.

Anyone notice hop 8 on each test? I am no specialist, but I am pretty sure there should be a number there where the "*" is. Anyone who is more advanced that can explain it to me is welcome :)

I'm just going to chill on playing Neverwinter and play something else that doesn't have these issues. Maybe I'll come back in few days/weeks and see if they've done anything to fix the issue. Losing AD is not fun. I had just started to click on 'collect reward' in the professions to get the Leadership AD, collected the first 3, clicked on the 4th to have nothing happen. A second later, the 'server not responding' message appears. Booted of course, restart, log in only to find all Professions empty and no AD saved.
Got one new TR stuck in the Beggars Nest and my 60 TR stuck just outside the Dread Spire.

I doubt it. Plenty of people already quit because of the lag/disconnects/stuttering. It is great that you are not affected by it.

P.S. Bizarre is written with 2 r's not 2 z's, just pointing that out. (no offence intended)

Logged in, apparently died after the last disconnect. I respawn, take 3 steps, get disconnected. Done. Call me when it's over, please.

Unfortunately it looks like we are all having the same problem, I'll be entering an instance for a dungeon or skirmish and I'll get disconnected. When I try to log back in it says that I timed out logging into the GameServer. I have had periods where the issue won't bother me for quite a while and other where I will get booted 4 or 5 times going to a single area. I can only hope the problems, whatever they are, are fixed soon. It's pretty annoying to get disconnected in the middle of a boss fight...

I am having the same issues.

One thing I have noticed is that it happens FAR more often on my HR than on my CW or GWF. I was able to complete 2 PvP matches and 2 runs in MotH on my CW without crashing, something I am completely unable to do on my HR (well, he is not lvl 60, but you know what I mean).

Additionally, when I attempt to access the Auction House remotely on my HR I am unable to do so. It simply says "no results found for search". None of my other toons have this problem and are able to access the AH from anywhere. Not sure if it is related, but I thought I should pass it along.

    Got home from work.
    Turned on the game.
Didn't see a patch to download.
Came here to post this: "I can't believe there wasn't even an attempt to patch this problem today. Sad."

1/3 the game population suffers from these dissconnection issues... some trolls claim "its must be your connection"
that's about like your car getting hit by a bus and stops running and some idiot claims "you must be out of gas"
Oh Atari how I miss you!

Glad (sorta) to see that I am not the only one having this problem. I called my ISP to see if they could detect a problem with my modem, connection, anything.

Yes, it would have been nice to see more response from PWE tech support about this problem.
