Hey adventurers,

Enchanted Keys are currently 15% OFF, with single and 10-packs. Also, Feywild and Nightmare Lockboxes will drop in game for a limited time if you missed out on previous Epic companions and mounts.

Key Sale and Lockbox Resurgence Starts: Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10 A.M. PST (Pacific)
Key Sale Ends: Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:59 P.M. PST (Pacific)

Update: Lockbox Resurgence has ended.

    Sales are always nice, but my REAL question is: when will the Nightmare dropboxes stop dropping? Those are my personal favorites.
    OH, and will it be the newer Mystic Nightmare or the older version that could pop-out of those?

    Is the event supposed to run since half an hour or is the ingame calendar right? It says 28th.

    Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 07:00 A.M. PST (Pacific) is when they stop dropping. And, the older version, not Mystic version.

    Thank you for that! I plan to collect those boxes (the hoarding of keys I intend to buy will be saved for the new dropbox coming with Mod 2). Muahahahah!

    Exactly how long does it take to be able to post new threads? I have a level 60, a level 30, I've been here for over a week, I've replied to other threads. I'm obviously not a spammer.

    The key sale is great but something needs to be done about the exchange prices otherwise, it is actually a worse deal to buy keys now through the exchange which I doubt is intended. They have been inflated since the last key sale and they got even worse today, probably because the this key sale.
    Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

    Zen/AD exchange rates are through the roof. The 15% off is actually more expensive for keys than a week ago if exchanging AD for Zen.

    15 % is a bad joke with those ad prices so thanks for nothing

    The inflated cost of Zen doesn't make the sale price of keys more expensive, but it does make it a wash. At the current exchange rate, it's still about 46k AD for 106 zen to purchase a key, which is about average for buying keys at the normal price and its commensurate exchange rate.

    So while the sale doesn't really put the screws to players purchasing keys with AD's, the sale does only benefit those who spend real world cash to buy zen. Which shouldn't be much of a surprise given the game's business model.

    you have any new news on new Lockbox of Module 2?
    Now if I buy the keys I can also use them on the new lockbox?

    Yes, any keys you buy will unlock existing and future lockboxes. Unless they add a super category lockbox that requires a different type a key to open, which I seriously doubt they are planning to do in the near future. As a piece of advice, I would suggest opening all of your lockboxes on the same character, as each box opened also gives you Trade Bars, which can be redeemed (in substantial quantities) for special items.

    The exchange rate is player driven... supply and demand. If the keys went 30% off, the AD exchange rate would likely rise by about the same amount.

    Of course those willing to spend real, actual money that goes to things like salaries for the developers that create this fine game actually do get a deal.

    Is it just me, or is the Rusted Iron Lockbox, dropping VERY frequently? I've currently got about 300 of the things on my HR who's just finished Vellosk. Normally I wouldn't complain about lock box drops, but at 125 Zen for a key, their is no point IMHO, as they'er just gonna end up being vendor trash or 100AD for 250 like the other LB's.
    Is it finally a T5/U/T6 KDF Science Ship?

    Lock boxes have been dropping like candy since day one my friend.

    I'd say the lockbox drop rates have been tweaked down from how they were with the Feywild boxes, which dropped from what seemed like every second kill.

    They have retained the change whereby boxes can drop from minions as well as champions though. Which does lead to a lot of boxes.

    Whats the point of all these LB drops,when you will never be able to afford the keys to unlock them.
    You should be able to trade them in for something better than a bit of coin.
    Personally i just stick then in the guild banks,with the other thousands that are just sitting there lol
