Pbile vs Pvorp from using and having both on my tr (all from a 1v1 perspective): vs other tr if they are at all stealth based Pbile gives a huge advantage, even if you use tenacious bilethorn will unstealth you a lot faster even if you take just a few hits from CoS, and i think most can agree that stealth based tr is the only viable option atm. Get a duelists flurry off on a tr with bilethorn and its usually gg right there, not necessarily because of the damage but if you are in steath half of the time the other guy is its such a disadvantage.
Against gwf, if they are good and can avoid your flurry i choose vorpal to get the lame shocking execution from 60% to 0, the +5k dmg on that with vorpal helps a ton for that, if they are pugs use whatever you want it wont matter anyways.
Vs cw, vorpal definitely, if the cw is good they probably wont let you flurry them at all so you pretty much rely on impact shots for the damage and for that vorpal helps a lot more.
Vs dc, i haven't really 1v1d so many dc's but based on my experience i do better with bilethorn but its a close call here.
Vs gf, bilethorn is nice if you can get a flurry off on them but if they are being total dbags and running off the point just to avoid your flurry you are probably better off with vorpal, but the decent gfs dont do that atleast if the point isnt theirs so its usually bilethorn.
Both are very nice enchants and have their uses, can't really say which one is better right now, its all situational.
Edit: alysin saw your post and i think i know which gwf you are talking about took forever to kill him even though he was facetanking 90% of my flurrys i think his name started with an L or something.

Has to be same guy. He wasn't avoiding any of my flurries either. I've fought most of the best GWF's in this game, and this guy is the tankiest one by a landslide.
Steam, Heim, Pwn, your own gwf P2w all avoid DF. This guy didn't seem to care, and it worked for him..lol
Going that tanky though.. u would loss all kill potential.

- TR builds atm go for Regen and Radiant defensive for HP ... less you have on crit % much lesser you get from your Vorpal. Bile doesn't suffer from it.
- Vorpal is better for encounters, but encounter make you show yourself off / Bilethorn sucks using encounters
- current TR build are based on stealth + regen + hp to survive, and Bile fits good here with duelist
some may want to survive with deflect and use encounter for damage, but I cant really see how to choose pvp viable other encounters other than SS, IS, ItC
So basically what I am getting out of this is... slot tenacious, go vorpal = beat all the rogues trying to find a diamond in the rough tactic by switching weapon enchants. = better damage against all other classes as well? By the way, what changes are being made to plague fire? Are they finally fixing the defense debuff stacking?
This was discovered months ago by various top-end TRs.. (yes, pvp because it isn't viable for pve). Don't try to claim credit on something that you didn't discover. I think even @todesfaelle mentioned him using this for pvp for over several months ago to counter those permastealths easily.
he was the first tr I seen using it. I even remember I started to look up for shards and made one too to see if it would be effective on tr. Never seen any other tr pvp use it before him for sure.
all started using after him. he posted now the vids and topic, but he has been using it for a very long time...

tbh, bilethorn seems like a no skill enchant... all you do is throw daggers with your tenes and they lose half their hp... but then again this is the class that uses shocking execution...

"rogues" in others MMOS are known to use of "poison". I always thought that bilethorn would be made for them. but never saw them using until recently. I tried perfect bilethorn on my gwf, it works good, but not as close as it works with rogues. its just their nature.
i didn't see him using SE on the duels too, and he also dueled using vorpal.
it is quite interesting hear a cleric talking about a "no skill" enchantment tho, actually it takes skill to use the bilethorn, as it depends of some other tricks on the rogue to be really effective as it cannot be in a gwf for example.

I got perfect barkshield as well, Tenes procs on the first dagger, which is still negated by the barkshield, boy.
For your info i played 4-5 games with vorpal, some of them are on the video, was the same thing, so trying to blame the bilethorn is fail. ANYWAYZ, he was saying that vorpal is way better, did you forgot ? ;]
Result of those duels would be pretty different if i didnt had tenes? We can 1vs1 no tenes if you are so sure ;]
As i showed here, i dont like to bla bla bla on forums, i like action on the game.
You understood me wrong. What I tried to point out that Bilethorn and tenebrous work greatly together. I know tenes proc on first hit and barkshield negates those, but from that moment on, bilethorn quite well negates barkshield. Tenes don't have long cooldown, you know that. Also I agree with you, on my own experience Bilethorn>Vorpal for our kind of playstyle. And you must admit, those duels with bile equipped were easier, they sure seem alot easier than the one where you use vorpal. I didn't try to mock you, I see from that vid that you've played alot with your TR within the past month or so. I respect you and your guild for being great and honest pvp players who acknowledge skill even if the player isn't decked out. I have nothing bad to say about any of you guys, but I stand by my previous posts. Btw, get back on topic guys, this thread isn't about EoA and their behavior.

Bilethorn. Weapon Enchancement Slot: You deal an additional % of weapon damage as Poison damage with your powers. Your foe takes an additional % of weapon damage as Poison damage after 4 seconds.
Path of Blades = Physical Damage - Doesn't Proc Bilethorn, not even on the first hit

Sooo....does Cryptic have anything at all in this game that makes sense? Every single thing in this game is broken, in some way or another.
What gives Cryptic?
This is old news that PoTB is broken. I made a bug report thread about it long time ago and panderus answered on it even. He admitted it isn't WAI, but also stated that it wouldn't see a fix anytime soon because they would have to adjust dmg so it wont be op. Compared to some cw skills, with fix it would still hit like a wet noodle. (Shard or sudden storm anyone?) We should cry more about it on the bug section so it gets fixed faster.

They are killing their own game by not fixing this stuff. I love this game and want to continue playing. They have a great thing here if they just stop worrying about the new Zen store HAMSTER and focus on the actual game itself.

I completely agree. Hopefully we will see fix to alot of stuff not too far into shadowmantle module.

So, can any good TR clue me in as to whether Bilethorn is better than Vorpal when you don't have tenes? Is it still a more efficient enchant for PvP (better than Vorpal against everything except CWs)?

Bile is better if u can use duelist properly. If not then vorpal cuz all u have to do is impact spam

For my personal experience it's better. Though it requires you to know how to land your duelists flurry. Depends alot on your playstyle tbh. Also it is very effective against cws if you daze them with shadow strike first and then land 1 flurry, finish them of with CoS or impact. (which isn't so OP anymore due to sync fix)
bilethorn is still very good without tenes... it only helped tenes procced easier, but the enchant itself is lethal overtime used by a rogue.

I decided to try it out after my whoopin and I'm a huge fan. Its an absolute face melter for stupids who think its ok to face tank DF. In every possible way(atleast for my build and playstyle), its better then Vorpal, even in..especially in PvE, the dps output is huge. I'm only using a Greater Bile and I love it. My PVorpal is sitting in my bags collecting dust atm.
I'm not sure how good the lesser versions are(I would think not so good), but the Greater and Perfect are amazing.
Seems like itd be a lot harder to land duelist fury from stealth without being seen or just in general if anyone was trying to evade it now that you cannot jump for that extra distance. I feel like that movement update is a huge nerf to the move, but I haven't been on my rogue in a long time so I haven't tested it.

The only enchant I have ever used was a lesser bile for months. It was alright, but I just up graded finally to a greater Bilethorn and what a difference! GWFs and GFs go down a ton faster, with DF of course.

Mind sharing abit of your secret how can Bilethorn be better in pve than Vorpal? I for one would not want to use 2 different weapon enchants for pve and pvp. I switched from gvorpal to gbilethorn and as far as i know my dmg went down abit, not huge but still it decreased. Currently I have PBile and I'm mostly specced for pvp but can still do really nice dmg in pve, usually I'm second or third on charts depending of the amount of cws, maybe after mod2 gwfs can get ahead of me aswell but i don't have any top end pve gwfs as friends. (I only run dungeons with friends)
