A link to the desired (maybe non-existing) information might be too much, no?
Or did I miss something?

    There are two parts to this.

    One, get more people into the forums. We have devs and mods here answering question. It is a good way to get discussion and such. Having just a blog (no replies) to something might be good and informative, but there might be more info in a discussion forum.

    two, keeping information post in one place without having to change in multiple (post on forum, post in blog, post in FB etc)

    Excuse me for looking in the "Patch Notes" forum for information of a downtime, not in the general forum where at least 80% of the messages concerning patches are. I try to ignore general discussion as it mostly concerns "overpowered", "too expensive", "unfair" "want" need" blablabla

    There are no patch notes. This is just a maintence restart. So why would they put it in the patch notes section?

    The patch notes never talk about downtime anyway, the maintenance sticky in General is where they report maintenance progress.

    Patch notes are in their own forum for easy reference. The notice of maintenance itself is always posted in General Discussion for visibility. This is how it has always been.

    As the necessary questions have been answered, I see no reason for keeping this thread open.
