Hello guys.

Normal walk : Good

Jump : Good but jumping every 0.2 sec in a row...for an infinite period ,Not that good...
Who dose that lol ??jump nonstop with no big animation and in a row..

This Jump is exploited as well..bcs of fast animation u tend to have better speed .

It should be 5 sec Cool down so people stop *exploit* it

Maybe in new Module ?

5 seconds is too long because of the existence of "jumping puzzles".

Then I vote for a 10 second cooldown in any Cryptic zone, and a 0 second cooldown in Foundry UGC.

If you guys don't like jumping in an >Action< 3D MMO, maybe try a 2D one? if you are going to put a Cool down on the freaking jumping, then it is better to remove it.

    Jumping is essential in PvP.

How about they just tweak the animation so you move forward slower when jumping? That would put a stop to all the bunny hopping since there would be no advantage to it.

No MMORPG has an explicit cooldown on jumping. That would be ridiculous. Why on earth would you remove an entire degree of freedom in a game because it visually annoys a tiny minority? Even in the most advanced action combat engines, it is not some shooter trying to go for headshots!

As for your talk of "exploits" from jumping (interesting how guys like you have a convenient excuse not to go into details but can just label anything an "exploit" for attention), then you should report this "exploit" so that it can be fixed.

Of all the things on Preview, with an entire new Module and huge incoming changes to the game to provide feedback on, you choose this one....

I'm sorry but, this is a very awful suggestion. I never want to see this in the game.

I hate to sound like a neb but I'm not a PvPer , I have noticed that rogues seem to jump a heck of a lot in videos of PvP matches posted on Youtube while they are attacking , what is the reason for them doing that ? lol

Oh I see constructive replys and..haters that abuze Bunny Hop Jump ( yoshua etc).

Yes its like exploiting this jump. and its not only visual annoyance..it increases speed as well.

And k lets say the CD scares people..at least do slower casting..we not freaking marrio to jump every 0.1 sec.

Sadly the jump is broken and people abuze it.

I wish they would fix walking forward with no cooldown. It is so much faster than walking in turns, or 8s. Everyone seems to abuses it, it is so annoying. They should put a cd in walking straight, so you'd have to make a turn after 3secs or so.

Please leave my jump button alone.

I can see your point but jumping is something I do while bored waiting for my party or for general fun in down time.
Yeah it can be annoying following people who jump as a means of walking but it doesn't give them any movement advantage (that is an illusion) and while it may irritate you its not right to take away that feature simply because it annoys you. Ask them to stop if it bothers you that much. :)

And as for using it in an exploitative manner, those need to be addressed in a case by case basis to block all access rather than simply removing just one feature which can be used to access those less than intended locations.

Jumping does not give a movement speed boost.
Seriously, try this in a race with another character. No gear or movement skills. Just have a naked run. You run, they jump. All other things being equal, you will both arrive at the same time.

While there had been an exploit available via jumping, it has since been fixed.

Suggesting adding a cooldown is a terrible idea akin to swatting a fly with a sledgehammer.

The reason is they think they are playing a FPS where it might slightly affect someones aiming. In here it is absolutely worthless and just makes the person look _____ (insert derogatory term here).

. . . . . If one believes something is an exploit, report it to the Game Masters in game or via Support (link uptop this site), but do not post about it on the forums. Thanks.

. . . . . Furthermore, animation cancelling via the dodge/jump mechanic was intentionally added in Alpha when they removed the ability to move while casting. Not all abilities can be cancelled however, this is also intended. If you disagree or know of other ways to break animations that may not be intended, make an In-Game Bug Report or Support report via the Support Site, but do not claim it is an exploit on our forums nor detail how it is done. The public detailing of possible exploits is considered just as bad as exploiting in itself. Thanks.

mod note: the discussion of exploits aka unfair advantages in these forums is against the rules of conduct.
Rule 3.01 - No Posting of Exploit Details
. . . . The forums are not the place to post Exploit Reports or name Exploiters or other bad behavior. (See Rules 1.03 & 2.05) To alert the Cryptic team of a cheater or an exploiter, press H key or the ? on the menu bar to contact a GM. Then press the BEHAVIOR button. You can also contact customer service out of game via Support, or E-Mail customerservice@perfectworld.com -- especially if you have screenshots or other details.

. . . . After reporting your findings in game or via email, if you you feel it hasn't been addressed properly or in a reasonable time frame, you can contact our Community Managers, PinPointError or Sominator, or one of the Community Moderators via personal message. Naturally, if you think you've found a major exploit that needs the immediate attention of the Cryptic team, report it via E-Mail and PM a Community Moderator immediately.

i have removed all discussion of potential exploits from this thread. please follow the proper protocol when you see or have knowledge of exploits. this information is being forwarded to the community managers.

please do not respond to this post. instead, if you have questions about this moderation, send a PM to the community moderators or the community managers. thank you.

<Do not self declare an act as an exploit and do not discuss exploits publicly>

PvP players jump to make it harder for them to be targeted. Simple solution (as with most things that are broken in this game) is to simply remove jumping in PvP since you have no reasons to jump in the current PvP maps.

Problem solved. But Im sure most PvPers will be against this because once again, the players who say its all about skill would rather use any exploit to their advantage thus proving that its not really all about skill.....funny how that works isn't it?

There's more to being able to jump than PvP.

Nor is what you are saying an exploit based on the Terms of Service. Please do not self declare something as an exploit. It is something the mods have noticed happening a lot in the last few days and we will start to crack down on such behavior. Only PWE/Cryptic has the ability to declare an action as an exploit or not.

If you think it isn't intended then report it as a bug but do not declare something as an exploit. Even if it was an exploit it wouldn't be permitted to be discussed on the forums anyway so don't do it. :)
