My guild only plays legit, and my GF and GWF have been welcomed into PUG's and done very well.
Yep. The way I see it, fighters are quite on par with the other classes. Did a random Pirate King today (group found in queue, everyone outgeared my GWF - yet I didn't really have trouble keeping up).
Basically, if GWFs and GFs doesnt work out, then try a different featspec or powerbuild. Trial and error till you find something that works out for your playing style.

Precisely! It isn't just about gear, since a high GS doesn't equate to a functional build or playstyle.
The right to command is earned through duty, the privilege of rank is service.
Maybe you get a really bad group. If we don't see a video about this run, then it's only a showrun. As protector GF i outdamaged my group some times too. But this doesn't dependent on my poor Power/Damage build, it's because the group was lame.

True, it is just a screenshot, nothing more and nothing less. Maybe I should have made a video, to document that run… or have written a 90 page thesis, backing up every claim I made with thorough documentation… but this is just a forum in a casual MMO, so take it for what it is - an indication, and a point of view, that a GWF can provide just as much contribution to a dungeon group, as the other classes. Besides, I was not interested in singling out other players performances, hence the blacked-out faces and names. If I had to edit out all names throughout a video, distort the sounds of players talking on the mic etc. it would take ages.
BTW, the run took about 30-31 minutes without taking a shortcut after the 2nd boss, with 1 wipe at the last boss. Seems ok for a queue-pug epic Pirate King. Not a truly outstanding group, but definitely not a horrible cringe-worthy group of players either (everyone knew tactics, nice and friendly etc.). About the level I usually see when I join the queue.
