    Sounds like interesting stuff.

Will we get a free respec once those new Paragon Paths arrive?

One thing that would be very nice in this game, is more control over HOW your pets behave.

This would allow many pets to be MUCH more useful

Since I'm not seeing a thread available for comments on the ARC article, I'll respond here:

"To be honest, if I'm just playing *ONE* PWE game, I don't really want/need a launcher for all games, with ads from them shoved into my face every time I try to log on to NW. Arc may be great for those who play multiple games simultaneously, but I strongly encourage you to keep a "lite" version for those players only interested in NW."

Please move this to the relevant thread if/when one exists.

As for the module, cheers, and hope we get a preview timetable soon.

"For the adventurers who love achievements and collecting items, we’re happy to announce the Collections System.... system will be based on items collected ...By collecting certain items in-game.... It’s never been so rewarding to be a hoarder!"

Can I perhaps have more bank space and bag space, beyond what I have already purchased, for all my hoarding needs?

Or can we free up some space by giving me an outfit tab for all the outfits and costumes I have purchased and earned?

A vote-kick feature for dungeons, huh?

Am I the only one who can see this being abused in so many ways, particularly considering the prevalence of exploiting & speed-running in dungeons?

"Oh, so the TR doesn't know the speed-run? *kick* Now let's invite one who does!"

"Oh, so the CW doesn't have the HV set? *kick* Now let's invite one who does!"

About artifacts, are these like the artifacts in PnP 4e, in that they stay with you for a while but eventually move on to a new wielder? Or will they be like wondrous items which have unique abilities like a Bottle of Air (allows you to breathe even in areas with no air) or maybe an Everlasting Provisions (daily food supply for the party)? Or maybe something that allows you to take alternate paths in a dungeon like an Apparatus of Kwalish (submarine)?

From what has said so far, some will provide an in combat ability (like a unique attack) and others will give you an out of combat utility (like summoning a merchant).

With Shadowmantle coming out will this release include raising the cap level?

    I doubt it.

With only one dungeon being released, there wouldn't be enough end game content to support a new level cap.

It also prevents the scenario where they beat the boss and the leader kicks everyone else from the group so he can grab the loot for himself.

The level cap increase will come with an expansion the size of STOs recent Legacy of Romulus expansion.

Do you think the time required for next 5-10 levels will be the same as required for 1-60? The levelling is very fast in this game, it could be slowed down of course for expansions, but I'm wondering if levels are even needed for this mmo, we have gear and enchantments that level, perhaps the new powers and feats could be tied to a sharandar type campaign system as well...

I.e. You are a given a book that teaches the fireball spell, and then are sent on a quest to upgrade the spells power, ad infinitum, with perhaps milestone animation changes to the spell, to keep things fresh.

Well, if there is a level cap expansion at some point in the future, that would probably kill my interest in the game - that's what happened with my WoW playing - I had spent a lot of time and effort getting top-notch gear, and then the level cap was raised, and I anticipated a huge amount of grinding if I wanted to get new gear instead.

What I would much rather like is additional content at the lower level, to make the game less linear - more class/race-dependent quests to increase replayability and reworking of the crafting system to make crafting feasible, instead of just a pointless AD/time-sink.

Ah, well, at least Module 2 looks good....who knows what we will get beyond that.
    Hoping for improvements...

its strange how people think level increase = more fun. Just add more paragon paths and different item/armor sets, effects and enchants.

any levels in a game like this doesnt make sense.

I hate to bring up another mmo but WOW did this where it had to be a unanimous vote and you could only kick so many times within a set time frame. I don't remember the specifics but that was about the only thing I liked about that game.

There is an eventual planned level increase to 90 in order to match with DnD 4e's levelling system (3 levels in NW = 1 level in DnD 4e) but it's likely that it will be one big increase rather than the multiple small increases over time that WoW has done.

The level cap increased has been discussed by the developers, but that is as far as it has gotten. That came out in one of the articles written about the time of the launch. Aside from that, there are many things that would need to go into a level cap increase. New gear, monsters, and the like, but the development tree for 60-90level(20-30D&D level) characters would need to be translated from PnP to MMO. That will take some time.

Looking through the collections list, only one mount is part of it. That is the stag mount from the lockbox.

Indeed, one of the biggest issues will be balancing the epic destinies as most of them are race/class independent.

As we are approaching another big update for a new zone and gear rewards, I am extremely disappointed in the gear rewards that are obtainable. The two main characters I have been working on and playing exclusively are a deflect rogue, and a tank gwf. Therefore, there was no reason or incentive for me to grind out the new gear from the feywild update and now no incentive for me to get the gear from this upcoming update. I do not understand why they do not have more variety of gears with different stats from these new location they add. It makes characters and builds even more 1 dimensional, especially if they keep pumping out new zones and even better stated gear sets of only 1 type without variation. At some point it will become ineffective to go with any creative build, because the stats from the latest new zone set will be so much greater than you can get as opposed to T2 sets with the stats that you are actually interested in to make a unique build work.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add a larger variety of gear sets obtainable, or at least make an option to redistribute a portion of these new zone based gear's stat points into stats that we are actually interested in. I think it would go a long way in helping encourage creative character building, which is getting lost with each new zone update as they are trying to implement it as of now.

Release date? I'm REALLY looking forward to this update, it's going to finally complete the game.. I mean one paragon path? That isn't really customizing. :( Cannot wait for this hunter ranger either. @_@

"Before the end of the year". Personally, I think the devs are gonna want to cash in on the holiday season, so I'm cautiously hoping for sometime before or around Thanksgiving/Black Friday...

Either that, or they'll start offering the pack (I'm assuming there's gonna be one) around that time.
