I can't find anywhere in the graphics menu to change the FOV, but I've seen video's where people appear to have a much wider one than mine is set too, like over 120 degrees and mine feels like 60 maybe. I'm at 1920x1080 and my character takes up too large of a portion of the screen for my liking, is there a way to change it and get a wider view?

. . . . . Indeed, the default FOV setting is 55. I keep three hotkeys set to switch between 55, 70, and 120. Just beware the fishbowl effect... not to be confused with the butterfly effect!
because the person forgot the exclamation marks. Try this.
/bind PageDown "gfxsetdefaultfov 90"
/bind PageUp "gfxsetdefaultfov 45"
PageUp/PageDown made the most sense to me. (arrow up/down should work great, aswell)
I have bound 0 to FoV 85 by
/bind 0 gfxsetdefaultFoV 85
works for me, no quotes.

. . . . . Aye, you do not use quotes with the bind command. The bind command will fail when an integer is left out or is incorrect. If I recall correctly, Page Up/Page Down should be PgUp and PgDown, but I could be confusing WSR commands. Next time I am in game, I'll double check but that won't be for a few hours, at least.
I managed to do it, thanks for the discussion.
Quotes are not used. However, to bind FOV changes to numpad buttons i need to know how to type 'em correctly ^^
Just bound them to regular keyboad buttons instead.

If you want it a certain value all the time probably the easiest way is to edit the Gameprefs.Pref file (For example mine is located at \Games\Cryptic Studios\Neverwinter\Live\Localdata) and set the 'PrefEntry GfxSettings.DefaultFov 55' line. Change 55 to whatever you want. Set that before running the game and you should be good to go.
I feel pretty stupid here. I'm yes, a newbie, but only to this game. It seems to me that I NEED to equip a weapon, yet my horizon is constantly changing (it's dizzying) and I can't use the mouse to point in order to equip what I have. What error am I making or letter key am I missing to change to using the mouse? I'm used to using keybinds a lot in order to keep most of my attention on the play at hand. Help!

/bind 0 gfxsetdefaultfov XX
0=any key (in this example it will bind it to 0)
because the person forgot the exclamation marks. Try this.
/bind PageDown "gfxsetdefaultfov 90"
/bind PageUp "gfxsetdefaultfov 45"

**no fishbowl effect with a value of 90
I have bound 0 to FoV 85 by
/bind 0 gfxsetdefaultFoV 85
works for me, no quotes.

The best you can do is stop or autorun then do it.
