The browser on my desktop computer is able to save username and password for Gateway so I don't have to type them every time I want to use Gateway on my desktop computer. However, Google Chrome on my iPad can't seem to do that. Is there a solution?

Chrome on my device saves the login information (as well syncs all my Chrome desktop bookmarks, passwords, etc). I've never had an opportunity to play with Chrome on an iDevice though, so can't say with any certainty, but I'd guess you can fix it within your Chrome settings.

. . . . . Chrome on my iPod saves my login just fine as does the native browser on our Kindle Fire HD. I'd suggest checking the browser's settings as well as your device's settings. Update your apps and iOS as well might help. Just be weary of using browser apps that are not made by reputable companies as you really don't know what an author may have hidden in an app's coding. I'd never use an app from some unheard of author to access anything with a login.
On my phone when I type the first letter the full will show up to be selected, it doesn't automatically plug it in like the web version does and it never remembers the password either.

I wonder if part of the issue may be that a mobile device can and often does get different IP addresses - especially if you're switching between 3G/4G and WiFi between login attempts. Some mobile device are also packed with software to help protect your identity, or you may have accidentally set your browser to use 'incognito mode' without realizing...
