. . . . . Here's some pics of a couple things: (click for larger view)
. . . . . The picture doesn't do the owlbear justice. It looks rather hard and plastic in the picture. In game however, it moves very fluidly and really does look like it has feathers. It's head bobs and looks around and hoots like an owl too. I think they did a great job. Yeah, they don't look like the old 1st and 2nd edition owlbears but they do look like the reiteration of them for 3rd and 4th.
. . . . . I must have that pseudodragon however... I hope it is a call to arms pet like the orc wolf.

It is not. It is the companion out of the new Dark Forest Lockbox. I managed to get it and the owlbear out of the lockboxes on copies of my character.
Also, the calendar was updated on mimic server. This weekend the CTA is listed and then the weekend of the 17th is another event called Coins of Waukeen. The liar's masquerade event that was briefly on the preview server yesterday wasn't listed. I'm a bit worried the Halloween event will be late.
Is the dragon a striker companion or something else?
Striker. First attack is a bite (two bites actually) and second attack is a tail sting that poisons the enemy. The rank 30 passive makes the poison more powerful. Enemies under the effects of the improved poison give combat advantage to their attackers and take more damage from the pseudodragon's bite.
Thanks for the answer.. would have been cool if it were another augment companion that just kind of followed you buffing you by being, you know a dragon....
Well, it isn't actually a dragon. It just looks like one, hence the name.
Also nice action shot of the pseudodragon poisoning a powerie:
Great..more whale stuff..:( Well something fun will be included. I wish things would drop in price so say $17 a month would cover getting nice things monthly. The pendulum will swing in time. The game has so much potential.

Why does the pseudodragon look so evil? They were Neutral Good before 4e "simplified" things.
I like the dragon. The owlbear looks good but its was to freaken small. I know why its that small because the devs cant figure out how to animate the rider so it doesnt look like the legs disapear into the owlbear.
Will i ever spend money to get either. That would be a cold day in hell.
