Gender Change

I opened a ticket in game, asking if gender change was possible. I received an email response from PWE
telling me that gender change was possible with a token.



Is this some kind of cruel joke? PWE doesn't know that gender change is not an option? They just tell bold lies to their paying customers? Please comment on this situation PWE. It is either a bug or a VERY EMBARRASSING situation for you.

I have followed up via email and in game ticket, and received no response.

So lets all chat about it.

    I've used 3 change appearance tokens in total over my 5 characters and not once have I seen a change gender option.

    I don't understand why they haven't offered a way to change gender/race and initial stats for a fee - I am sure many people would actually pay for that.
    Hoping for improvements...

    My big complaint is that PWE told me I could do a gender change with the token. The email is sitting in my inbox.

    Did they just want me to buy the token and become very upset? Do they only care about money? Was it an honest mistake from their support staff?

    Please comment, PWE.

    could care less about gender change but race change that includes initial rolls would be awesome =)

    You know, if you reply to the actual email they sent you, they will generally write back.

    Yeah, I'd advise following up with your ticket and explaining that the answer you were given was mistaken.

    God I would easilly pay like 500 zen jsut to change my gender and race.

    And it just adds "ia" to the end of your name if you get tricked into equipping it. Ex. Brutusia

    I have replied! I also opened another ticket in game.

    No responses. This is business day 4 since my I replied.

    This game is totally lacking in customization tools that are standard with other Cryptic games. Download Champions or Star Trek Online and check out the character creators they have and notice that any changes you make you aren't charged zen but in game currency. Since they made the bad decision not to emulate this customization on Neverwinter it does not surprise me they have no idea you can't change gender with the sub-par (sub-par considering Cryptic's other titles) character creation tools.

    Just want to point out that even in those games you cant change gender either. Despite the vast customization options.

    Maybe Cryptic could give the option of cross-dressing. Then all the goblins would instantly die from extreme laughter. :o

    Do not bump threads for the sake of bumping threads. Also, PWE admins do not respond to ticket issues on the forums. Your sole recourse is to follow up with the ticket you submitted and wait for a response through that channel.

    I bump so more people see the situation. It is quite apparent PWE is struggling to develop this game. The insane number of bugs (people exploiting dungeons, broken daily quests, several key game mechanic bugs), the poorly designed engagements (Dracolich), a lack of knowledge about their own game (giving incorrect ticket responses).

    It makes you question whats going on over there. I really want to keep playing this game because I like the DnD world - but I am so disheartened by the developers.

    I also bump because I really want to see gender change, and despite following up on the ticket, PWE has yet to get back to me after 5 business days.
