when fighting mobs that out-numbered you, they dont need those potions, doesnt make sense when in solo dungeon runs, all it does, it delaying tactic, there are some healers in mob groups whenever i find them.
i also didnt like "Beef-up" mage tanking, these shaman types have too much health base that takes too many hits/clickings and i often get my finger feeling tired, these shamans are not "zone bosses", or elite, since they dont often drop decent loot to make up for wasted time taken.
so, it made me think what is wrong with devs, are they making "Ha HA What?"

A, "Ha HA What?" what?
Try and pay attention to the mobs. Their drinking animation or heal casting anImation is rather slow. Manage your encounters and hit them with something to interrupt them or better yet finIsh them off.

Around the lines what I was going to reply with. there are tactics you will need to take into account when coming across monsters. You cant just go into an encounter and just blame the devs because it is difficult. There are a good handful of tactics to use against such. some perception and thinking is all thats needed.
For starters, what class are you playing? Anywho, yea, the animations are ridiculously long (I could see annoying if they were instant effect potions) and offer plenty of time to interrupt/smash the mob into oblivion. Learn which mobs those are and target accordingly.
Oh, and as for tired fingers and overclicking, you CAN hold down the mouse button to fire off your at-will powers.

I seem to remember there was a certain level range where I got really irritated at potion guzzlers - I can't remember the zone, but it passed - and yeah, it helps to interrupt them, though it's worth noting that it's not a deal-breaker, just an irritant, i.e. only I may take potions, darn it!

Black Dagger Ruins was the first area where mobs start to drink potions. I don't think any non-human enemies ever do, though they may have healers.
I learned pretty quickly to hit the potion drinker hard (TR) or knock him down (GWF), etc. Instead of spending all your encounters at the beginning of a fight, keep a little something in reserve.

The only mobs that really annoyed me w/ this were the Lizardman Shamans - not only are they fairly tough, but they knock you back, place these dangerous patches on the ground, AND cast an AoE heal.
I'm ok w/ there being healer/buffer mobs, but they, like players, should be weaker in terms of armor/hp. In the example above, those shamans are at least as tough as the blackscale mobs, who lack any such AoE heal.
The Enrinyes in Helms Hold have a similar power, but they don't place those damaging areas on the ground.

okay, thanks, i do know and saw animations, mostly humans/elves do have potions.
so i will try to hold back interupt attacks a little longer, it just those skills with cooldown are bit slow.
i play Guardian Fighter.
i have manage to have few enchantment gems reach rank 7, wonder if there rank 8 or higher?

The enchantments, IIRC, go to Rank 10. If you're playing a GF, then consider something like frontline surge to knock enemies down. Just hold off on using the ability until you see them starting to drink the potion. Another tactic is to just focus on 1 enemy at a time, and use something like Griffon's Wrath, which has multiple charges and stuns the enemy, to keep them from healing themselves.

If you're playing a GF, hold one strike of Griffon's Wrath in reserve for the potion guzzler. Hit 'em with it just as the animation starts and it will negate the potion use. At least, that's what has worked for me.

thanks again, i keep that in mind next time, those redcap healers, i have to watch for them, my personal first KoS target, didnt like them out of range when healing those ogre/troll "hekat" tanks, they tend to spam heals over heals.

Those redcap healers (along with powries and quicklings) are the weakest mobs in the area (minion hp). Enforced threat instakills all of them at once. Follow up with frontline surge for any you may have missed or were blocked by geometry from being hit with enforced. Or just a few swings of cleave. Gf should never have any issues with weak hp mobs. Lunging as your third encounter is better than griffons unless you need to preload alot of damage for some reason. Though as a gf you never really need this as you have the best endurance of any class, fighters recovery and shield block used effectively means you can always be killing nonstop without pots and nothing in this game can actually kill you, especially not solo daily stuff. (Except valindra if your party lets her sit there and choke you out, but autokill mechanics do not count).
