So I'm a poor sport because I don't always stay to the end when just leaving my home base means I get perma-stunned and killed?
I've actually been on a 1,000-0 team. (Yes my team had the zero.) What is the point of staying through to the end of that sort of ridiculous imbalance?

If it was the other way round you would want people to stay. Leaving is childish. It's a playground mentality. The fact of the matter is this attitude ruins it for more players. How would you feel if your favourite sports team left the field because they were losing?
PVP is not the fastest way to make AD by the way and if this is the only reason you do pvp then why not simply do a AD farming search into youtube? If you are playing because you like to pvp then take the bad with the good.

Professional sports leagues are organized roughly according to the skill and abilities of the teams' players. The professional baseball team doesn't schedule matches against the local little league team. That would be unfair to both teams. But that is exactly the type of thing that happens in Neverwinter PVP. So of course if two pro teams played, I'd want them both to finish to the end. But that isn't what happens, by and large, in PVP. I can't blame a bunch of amateurs for not wanting to stick around to be stomped.
What you're really saying is, "the amateurs should be punished for not wanting to have their asses continually handed to them".

I don't disagree with the points you make. PVP in Neverwinter has it's problems. Just leaving with the huff is not the answer. What you call pro players are just people that have worked hard to become what they are(or just paid, it's another issue). Why should they be punished any more than you? Trust me being on the winning team in such an over balanced match is not much more fun for people that want to pvp. The point is to test your skills. The only way things will change is to make yourself heard. Quitting is not being heard.
How would you feel if I came into your dungeon group found that I was not able to keep up so just quit?
If you have a problem with it just don't do it and complain about it to cryptic. Like I said you can make more AD doing other things. If you want to pvp for the sake of pvp then find a guild join a team, get good at it.
I only do PvP Dom for Astral Diamonds, I can't stand PvP, the whole thing gives me the screaming S.h.i.t.s. However if I want the Diamonds I have to stay and see it through, The only thing that makes PvP Dom enjoyable is to witness those Numbnutts rageout and quit, so leave them alone you big bullies... LMAO!

That's not a good analogy. A better analogy would be:
What if I signed up to participate in a *random* dungeon, and due to the luck of the draw, instead of getting Cloak Tower, I got Castle Never? But I only had the gear appropriate for a T1 dungeon. Do you think that I should be punished if I get wiped time after time and quit in frustration, because I'm just not able to finish the final boss?

Well, I will just agree with that, I don't PVE so I wouldn't know. Honestly I don't even PVP much either right now, I can't help but think it is an after thought that PWE/Cryptic really don't care all that much about.
In my opinion it would be better if they worried more about balancing teams than classes. PVP gear for lower levels would be nice and more players in pvp like 10v10 25v25. All would help the problems brought up in this thread.
I fairly new to NeverWinter have only played a few PvP missions and I can already tell quitting out is a major problem. I think the main cause of this is 500 point rule to get glory. As soon as people realize it is going to be a slaughter match they are gone. People want to do other things like re-queue and get on a winning team.
The game is rewarding those who quit and punishing those who stay. The people who are quitting are not raging out or being poor sports. They are making a calculated decision to maximize their glory gain. Players always go the route of least resistance. That is human nature, you can't change that but you can change the PvP rules to encourage people to stay. Give 2 or 3 glory for each valiant death in battle so people just don't afk at the camp or quit out.
It seriously is about time that the people who rage quit pvp should be account banned from pvp events so as to stop the incessant annoyance of those who stay, this is the only way for most of us to get 60 epic gear off the bat, and I don't want to hear you asshats who say put money on the game bc i'm not doing that anymore especially to a game who changes things after I put money on the game to make me put more money in the game. I know all about PW and their money grubbin tacticS, but, anyhow back to issue at hand you need to either make it so they cant leave pvp or ban them from entering pvp if they choose to rage quit all it does is screw the rest of us over who are happy to even get on the losing team just to get 23 glory.
Why so serious ?

This. I didn't used to quit at all, but the idiocy gradually wears you down. Seems like half the teams I roll with don't understand the basics of PvP. I'll often see the dullards happily stand away from point 2 and engage in a range war, forever, with no effort to actually take the point. And I can't count the number of times I'll hold off over half the enemy at the far end of the map, while my so called allies are all busy chasing the last one around for a full minute, and again making no effort to take any points.
This is because of the AD daily for the most part. It just drags in people that don't like to PVP, great for them as they get AD (even though there are much quicker ways posted all over the place) bad for PVP players that just want to play the game as it should be. Talk about a kill joy.
