Peanut Labs = Scams and Phishing

Like many people, I went on to their BS site and did several of their surveys. I completed probably 30 (give or take) and have only gotten credit for like 65% of those. Not counting the countless I have been disqualified for OVER half way through because my answer wasn't what they were looking for? (Isn't a survey suppose to take all answers to be accurate?) I have completed several (ie. Discover Card... Got the card too...) and never received credit, then after disputing/reporting them for not receiving credit, I receive several generic emails that basically said they can't prove that I completed the surveys, so I am S.O.L... I completed one survey for a free insurance quote and have since received several phone calls from agents and never received credit. I get spam email out the wazoo! I figured out that (going by what I should have received credit for and didn't), they owe me well over 7K Zen.

They REALLY need to find a better company to work with. This company is complete horse <edited>..

yeah, they are fake and i would about to file lawsuit for frauds and damages they have caused.

they flooded my email with junks, so i was forced to upgrade mail security, and got strange "worm virus" that broke my previous hard drive by making too full and corrupted that i had to take out and order a new drive.

when i checked, i get tons of offers from pornsite that i never heard of while i ran my older pc, waiting for new harddrive.
that web site is a hoax, or may have been hijacked to hackers' links.

last i heard, someone else were upset and posted to inform us about BBB that had list them on fraud alert, and i checked, and there was long list of angry folks.

that hard drive that was corrupted, it freeze up when i tried reformat, i even took to local pc repair, said it is beyond recovering and had to order replacement. tried most of spybot and virus scan and destroy tools, even in "safe-mode" operation.

I don't do the ones that want a phone number or for you to sign up for anything. Basically nothing with a thumbnail pic unless it's watching a video. Not only are they collecting more personal information than is comfortable, it sounds like they track horribly, because they send you through a wormhole to do anything. These are not Peanut Lab surveys, but "partner" sites who, afaik, treat their presence on the offer list as a form of advertising.

The ones that load at the top with just a text link (opinion survey, brand survey, etc.) seem very safe, and pay out consistently if completed. These are the actual Peanut Labs and affiliate surveys. In my experience, they also load their elimination questions at the very beginning, so if I'm disqualified for not having children or not having a management job, that's determined before practically anything else. Sure, I get screened out fast on more than half of the surveys, but the point is, it's fast. Hard to get mad when it took under 30 seconds to find out.

Seems like offers available for Americans are very different from those for Canadians, and while we have far fewer to choose from, our choices are far better at paying out or not wasting our time.

It's not as though it's a big earner for me, but I can get a few hundred Zen for a few minutes of reading and clicking.

For readers of this thread, a lot of information can be gotten by googling Penut Labs Zen. There are a lot of results from Cryptic game forums.

I've sent ticket after ticket till I gave up on trying to get my zen. I would much rather wait until I'm able to put money on the game rather then filling out those things since they don't pay out anyways. I do wish that perfect world would take it off since all it's doing is giving perfect world a REALLY bad name.

    everything is stealth
Stealth make TR OP, but lack of stealth make TR useless.

for what it's worth, they used to have three different groups they went through, not just peanut labs, and back then, peanut labs were the only ones that had ANY that worked and gave credit for me. the others were entirely wastes of my time.

Peanut Labs stuff on here may not be good, but it's still the best that PWE has had on there in the years I've been playing their games.

    yeah, that is sad.

I've heard complaints over sponsorpay too. Personally I like doing the vids since I know those will most likely pay and arent too much effort. Plus I have 2 monitos so that I can move onto the next vid with ease.

I'm more concerned with Perfect World putting these up there in the first place. The unreliable system is hardly going to impress me to buy more from my own wallet...

You shouldn't necro threads. However peanut labs and sponsor pay are external companies that aren't part of perfect world. Some people have big issues with paypal for example yet some people use it as their choice for payment. Personally I like videos when they appear because it's an easy and reliable way to earn zen without giving away private information.

They are all scams.. Better off not wasting time filling them out. You would be better off working a minimum wage job and spending that money on zen. You would come out ahead and not have your mailbox spammed to death. I had the same results though, getting dqed after 20 minutes of filling garbage out.. That quickly ended my peanut labs venture. No more.

Before I start doing anything with ANY of them I check http://www.bbb.org/ if they're flagged on that site for complaints, I avoid them. There are many of them that are flagged there as far as the 'partner offers', but a few that are not. Swag Bucks(if its still up there) and credit sesame (again, if it's still up there) are two of the legit sites that've been featured on the partner offers. Generally it pulls me to the other site, I check it and then find out it's flagged by the Better Business Bureau - then run like hell, I'm usually secure enough that my antivirus and firewalls will keep me safe. As much as possible I do check out the sites before I even go to them.

The Better Business Bureau is a joke these days, there have been several claims of bad companies paying for good grades and good companies getting bad grades because they refuse to pay.

The complaints filed are what I actually look at, there are a lot though (credit card applications etc) that I won't touch. Credit Sesame I'd heard about elsewhere and already knew was on a list I'd trust a bit (their name came up at one of the military expos as a site to use for military returning from deployment.

You do need to think a bit on your own and poke at the sites if you don't trust it or have a bad feeling even with investigating the site prior to going there, or after loading into a page. If you get a bad feeling about a company, even if the BBB says it's legit, don't use it. I think that is a bit of common sense though.
