Mailbox - deleting the wrong mail

When you delete a mail and get the "are you sure you want to delete this message?" dialog there is a chance that by the time you've click yes a new mail will arrive and push a different mail into focus, causing you to delete the mail in focus rather than the one which you asked to delete. I just saw a purple pop into view as I was clicking yes, and now it's gone.

Ironically, if I didn't have to confirm that I wanted to delete a mail with no attachments on it I wouldn't have just deleted a mail which DID.

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I bought an item in AH then went and looked at it in mail ( confirmation that i got it ) then when to purchase another item. BUT i think when it was suppose to ask me " are you sure you want to puchase xyz" it actually was still linking mail and when i clicked yes to buy it actually went YES to delete the mail with the attached gear in it. Now if it was a small purchase i wouldnt worry about it but this piece that i lost costed me 350,000 AD.. How can i get that deleted item back ?????

That's a completely different issue which I've also noticed of late. You do an action which has a confirmation dialog and then do something else and get the confirmation dialog pop up. This includes being asked if I'm sure I want to do blah while I'm on the character select screen. What I have reported here is a confirmation dialog popping up correctly, but something occuring in the background which changes what the action refers to.

Also a completely different issue. You need to reduce the number of mails with attachments to be able to send more attachments to an account. 1 mail with 1 attachment is the same in this regard as 1 mail with 5 attachments, so if you have lots of mails with 1 attachment collect them all and send them again with 5.

This happened to me with an AH sale mail. The lost ADs were reinstated based on my (extremely polite, extremely detailed) ticket.

I have also been hit with deleting mail I didn't intend to because of the new bug where equipping an item can mess up your rotation of all actions with confirmation dialogues. Submitted a ticket about that as well, but it was over the weekend so no reply yet.

I will add, my solution for new messages pushing their way in when you delete a message is to always keep a buffer message on any character who is actively buying or selling anything on the AH. I can safely delete messages below that empty buffer (which is normally simply my latest sale or purchase message from the AH with the attachments removed), and any incoming mail will arrive safely above the buffer should something come in while I am deleting mail.

Yeah, if I'm deleting a large amount of mails I always start from the 2nd one down so that I don't delete a new mail just as it arrives, but in this case I was trying to delete some old mails which were between attachments. I'll just leave them now.

Deleting messages from Gateway also doesn't seem to give this "bounce" problem. That might help get things cleaned up for you a bit.

I also had this happen where an item I had up was purchased and so I deleted it but a new mail for another item popped in right as I did and it was the one that got deleted -- and not the one I had taken items from. This of course caused me to lose the AD for what I sold.

When this happened to me, I submitted a ticket giving the amount of ADs I had listed as my buyout for the item sold, and the amount was posted to my account as compensation. Can't hurt to ask.
