to Devs.... If you Are so concerned with the foundry, then how about making it worth playing by giving out some decent rewards, no one i play with cares much about the foundry cause they dont want to run an hour long quest just to get a green item , at least throw us a named blue item or transmutation items or something, everyone just hits the 4 fastest ones they can for the meager AD and doesnt look back, on that note to it would be nice if yall changed the restrictions to 1 hour of foundry playtime for daily instead of 4 - 15min ones, all the longer quests are at a significant disadvantage because of this.

I agree with that. In STO one only does them for the currencies like EC/Dilithium and even then they have to last at least 15 minutes before you get anything and it's only 1 time per day.

Have these things give us an extra ardent coin each or even increase the amount of AD we get from them...something to make them more worthwhile.

Here's what I was going to post.

"So it took three months to realize what people were asking for prelaunch, more classes? This is D&D cmon, not to mention all of the months of comments posts on forums, reports, and updates on other news sites, as well as the consistant posting on your own official forums and now we have to wait until the end of the year? Really? What happened to these classes being in development in closed press beta like multiple interviews indicated?"

Seriously, Totalbiscuits video has one of the main devs lying to people about the ranger class when the question was brought up especially since he mentioned they were "working" on them now (now being DURING closed press beta) and should be just after release.

Then today, they say we'll see new classes by the end of the year! Way to go all Arenanet on us. Thanks.

You're right I refuse to pay any more subscription fees until they release more content and classes! oh wait...

"On top of that" clearly indicates that it isn't part of the "within a few weeks" statement.
Actually, no. "On top of that" isn't a separation, but an addition. How could you not know this given your self-proclaimed "authority" of the English language?
Perhaps english isn't your first language? or perhaps you see what you want to see b/c you want a new class.
Cute. But smarmy isn't your thing. Just makes you appear foolish, particularly when you make such silly mistakes as above.
No I don't have the links right in front of me, but I have read on multiple occasions clear statements that the class will no be released in module one but will be released within the year. I am at work right now and I don't have time to dig through every forum topic.
Right...so in other words "I can't support what I claim."

    Got it.

Wait, did you see them confirm it was the Ranger? I hadn't seen that. I hope that is the case, but I would be happy with a Monk, Paladin, Warlock, or any number of other classes also. :)

They said Ranger at the beginning when it was closed press beta and they spoke to multiple youtube interviewers before their so called open beta/launch occurred that's what people are complaining about...yet another PR lie to make the game look good but not actually deliver what they claimed would be here by now.

I truly hope for their sake that they don't just release 1 whole class in december and that be it because they will have an exodus on their hands if they insult our intelligence any further.

You argument is nul, there are paying customers and we deserve what we were promised in prelaunch interviews, if they weren't actually going to release the ranger they should have never lied to the public. Nice try troll.

Gotta wonder if some of these people who are for Cryptic lying to the public, who are trying to make it seem like we don't have a legit complaint aren't actually working for Cryptic and trying to keep the PR going.....seriously because if you like someone lying to you then you've either gotta be a moron or you gotta be working for them. Oh here's that car you ordered, but the steering wheel won't be in until the end of the year.

Yup. But don't expect the fanbois to take this into consideration.

It's one thing to say "Yeah, they led people to believe that a new class and new paragons would be available, but things change. They had to re-prioritize, it happens during game development."

But the fanbois can't even humble themselves to that much. Instead it's "No! They never said that! In fact...they said numerous times that they would not add that! It was so clear! ...What? Proof? Ehh...no. I'm at work. I don't have time to support anything I say. But believe me! I know what I'm talking about."

Hardly a reasonable and compelling argument.

That's what they made it sound like this time around. They "hope" to have 1 class completed by end of the year. Several months of development...and only 5 classes at release, none of which are ranged fighters...then 6 months later...they hope to have 1 additional class, bringing the total to 6?

It's just so...weird (putting it nicely).

I enjoy the game so i probably fall into the fanboi category i suppose.

I always purchase products, not promises. I think anybody that buys something or participates on something on a promise of something in the future is a sucker.

Play or dont play the game based off of what it is, not what your imagination believes it will be in the future, or what someone else says it may be in the future.

No. Simply enjoying a game doesn't make one "fanboi." Nor does spending money on a game. I've enjoyed and spent over $100 on the game (in the first couple months). Enjoyment =/= "fanboi."

It's defending the game at all costs and abandoning reason in the process in order to do so that is what I'm talking about.
I always purchase products, not promises. I think anybody that buys something or participates on something on a promise of something in the future is a sucker.
Agreed. I don't know that this is relevant however. It is good advice nonetheless.
Play or dont play the game based off of what it is, not what your imagination believes it will be in the future, or what someone else says it may be in the future.
No one said otherwise. What was said was that:

    1) it is disappointing that despite it being as old/developed as it is, it is still lacking core features and options such as:

    a) diversity of classes
    b) quality pvp system (diversity + functionality)
    c) diversity amongst classes (aka paragon paths)
    d) there is no longevity

    2) it was said early on that this module release would rectify those issues.

NO ONE is saying "You teased us into playing this game!" That's a strawman. Nor is anyone saying "You made me spend money!" Again, a non-issue.

The response to #1 above was "Not only did that not happen...but the devs have said just the opposite on numerous occasions!" And that is simply false.

As to point #4, NW is a very fun game to get into. It does things differently (and well) than many other MMORPG's. It's a great hook. You are fairly new to the game probably (judging by your join date on the forums). You have probably experienced some end game content. But you'll quickly find out, like most other long-timers (as determined by the many posts/threads about this specific issue) that because you level up so quickly (just naturally playing), you reach end game then become disappointed because there isn't much to it other than re-delving. There's no increased level cap, no way to further develop your character. It's just "get more gear." I'm unaware of any MMORPG that has sustained measurable success with this type of game design philosophy, are you? Note: This isn't just "end game plateau" as all games have them. But rather "end game so quickly + incredible lack of end game content + lack of character development" on the level that NW has.

Now...if you disagree with points made above I'm open to hearing your defense of it. If you don't take issue with that point one way or another, that's fine as well. But I object to you throwing in red herrings and strawmen, and corrupting the argument/objection I made.

Paladin, Ranager and Warlock I see happening. Monk? They'd need to figure out psionics in their version of the 4.0 rules. And I don't see anyone really clamoring for Kalashtar as a playable race and Battleminds. So, Monk will probably take a lot longer than a Ranger or a Paladin.

I'm seeing a "possibility" of releasing 1 class by the end of the year, if they think that THAT's adequate at all that's a shame really, they'll be lowering their own 2 million active players in no time I guarantee!

Saying you may come out with something unknown isn't the problem it's saying three months later that you MAY come out with something and only 1 of those somethings when it's very clear by the IP that you should be releasing as many as you can (1 per month would be good) and when you said clearly without stuttering that more classes (plural) are indeed in the works prior to launching and then going back on your word.
