The 6th class symbol

I've been wondering about the 6th class symbol for a while. Current image is a placeholder so what do you all think it will be?

the bottom right icon? looks like a bunch of melee weapons, like a seal for a barbarian class.

i would so totally roll a barbarian class, maybe they are going the blizzard way :D full whirlwind spec lol

Well it just a placeholder. You can see a bunch a weapons from spear, sword, axe, a wooden bow, chain mace, and etc.

We already have 2 dungeoner type classes anyways so there should be no need for a 3rd dungeoner class now. 1 Religion, 1 Arcane, and 1 thievery but no Nature quite yet.

Same icon used before the GWF class was added. It is indeed just a placeholder.

Barbarian is primal and he would probably have a Nature skill set.

It seem people know it is a Placeholder image but only people answering the question are people believing the image is the actual symbol for a new Melee class.

For me I'm just going to wing it and say it is probably Ranger due to the theme of the upcoming expansion being Nature based. Also, it is very common for games to related Elves races for a generic Ranger character as well since they are introducing Sun Elves race.

(PS Sun Elves is the free version. Moon Elves are just Sun Elves but more shiny.)

Sigh... yet another new class thread? Really. They have said over and over that the new class will be ranged. It's most likely Ranger, but don't quote me on that one. I hope for a different rogue. There's a slight possibility it might be a wizard or cleric, but I sort of doubt it. Two magic-users are enough for now.

You do realize that their wont be any new classes with this expansion. So nature and theme really has no bearing on anything.

That said, the only clue offered by Cryptic on this matter has been the new class with be "Ranged." Anything else gained from data mining, and the like, is simply speculation.

I expect, shortly after the hub-bub from the Fury expansion settles. The next content focus will be on the new classes. I expect we will see some more info mid September. With actual release a month or so after that. But that, of course, is also just speculation.

I'm not asking for a new class. I'm asking people what they think will be this new class that has been labeled COMING SOON.

Where in my post I said the COMING SOON Class will be released as part of the expansion? I never said anything about that. Have you been reading too many post asking for a new class to be released with the expansion?

I said given the content released it may follow a Ranger class being the new class. Content release don't need to have random themes slapped on but can also be followed by another content.

For example, they release the expansion with the Nature theme to set the stage for Ranger Class release later or a Magic base themed new area release for a Warlock class to be released later.

There is no need to slap everything people believe should be released all at once into the expansion update. Expansions will get their share of new dungeons and content to expand on but it is never all at once.

Wow, the trees where you are from are scary. We have mostly berries and leaves fall from our trees in NE Ohio!

    James - Paladin
    Jet - Warlock
    Royal - Cleric
    Gray - Rogue

Why bash a tree for things when you can just pick it up and smash people with it.

It will use the nature skill set and cryptic has said it will be ranged dps so probably druid or ranger archer. I'm guessing Ranger archer because that is the only one of these two that I have seen data-mining for. It could be warlock, but I don't think so because the game does not have a class yet that uses nature. I'm sure warlock will be coming along soon enough. I'm worried that we wont see a new class for a while even though cryptic said we would see one by the end of the summer. They have also backtracked on the whole Drow race 60 days after launch thing sooooo.....

Im going to say its going to be a Ranger there have been lots of interviews where the devs have kinda hinted that it might be a Ranger add in to the fact they have already said that the new class will be ranged based. And add in the fact that the only harvesting skill that is not attached to a class is nature and it stacks up very much in a rangers favour.

Its 100% confirmed that the new class is Ranger. From Cryptic's own words, it will be "ranged" and "iconic".

Is a bow-using Rogue iconic in D&D? No.
Is a Warlock iconic in D&D? No.
Is a Druid a ranged class? No.

There is one, and ONLY ONE class, ever, in the entire history of D&D that qualifies as both "ranged" and "iconic". Strider. aka "Aragorn". aka "Ranger".

    Period.

I am pretty sure Aragorn used melee a LOT more than ranged, but sure.....

There are two types of 4E rangers that I know of. Archer Ranger and Two-Blade Ranger. With Fury of the Feywild coming out the class to theme to the module would be Archer Ranger, which "should" come out by the end of the year. Scourge Warlock info was found back in Beta but I would say thats a next year class. If they did a Fey Pact Warlock that would fit into current theme direction but I highly doubt that will be the case.

There was a lot of talk of Two-Blade Ranger coming out before Archer Ranger but that got squashed some time ago. For the hardcore Drizzt fans wanting Drow I would say they may wait to release Drow with Two-Blade Ranger so players can go all in on their themes.

Well that depends if they can make Two-Blade Ranger fit into a update theme. You don't slap in Meat when you're having a pure vegetarian dinner after all.

Also, they only say it will be "Ranged" but there are plenty of Ranged classes they have not added into the game from D&D yet but words are only words. It only when they added the class into the game when we know what it is.

that symbol is a placeholder it was there in beta before CW and GWF came out too the next class will be either archer ranger or Scourge warlock (hellfire paragon ) both were leaked in beta as being in the game already, unless they have been working on something else just to confuzzle people.

I'm going to guess either a Druid class or a Ranger class.
