Why can't I be invited to a group?

I was trying to do the Cloak Tower dungeon last night at lvl 20, for the Daily Dungeon thingy. So I had the quest for it, and I could sign up for it through the dungeon finder. I could even invite people into my party and do the dungeon with them (as I ended up doing, after waiting 40 minutes in the queue - that might be a bug, though.)

So anyway, someone was forming a group for Clock Tower, so I asked her to invite me. Imagine my surprise when she sent me a tell back, saying I didn't accept group requests? I didn't even know that was possible, and I certainly didn't do it myself. But if the account is hacked, why do I still have all my items, money and that? So I don't think that's it.

And that's the question here: Why was I set to "automatically reject group invites?"

    Perhaps just bugged out, easily fixed in the group settings.
    Also sometimes when you have queued for ages, the game still thinks your queued after you leave, just log out and back in.

    Thanks, I'll try that. It does raise another question, though. Why should it be a problem to join a group even if I'm queued? I have done that many times on several characters, and it wasn't a problem until yesterday?

    Like they said, sometimes it bugs out. Its happened to me a few times on occasion.

    Open your social menu (O), click preferences, and set yourself to accept group invites.

    I don't know if it sometimes changes without my influence or not because I can never remember what I left it at. Sometimes I just want to be alone.
