Some can also be semibots on business "farms" . Very hard to control as they make more doing that than average person in their home country in many cases.
its easy to get rid of bots in a F2P game. Captcha plain and simple. Another way is to have GMs playing the game or police the game.
BUt this company instead of dealing with botz they nerf everyone not just the botters.
MMO's have always balanced classes, this isnt new nor is it something only Cryptic/PWE does.

Bots are fun to kill to get more points , even if everyone on the enemy team leaves the bot will stay and feed us more kills so we can get the cool belts and ****.
I don't mind them , not at all .

Not necessarily a bot account. Could be people who farmed all those before changes where but in place to counter act that
Highest rank I've seen dropped is 4, and they don't drop often, at best you get some rank 3's. For ONE stack of 99 rank 5 you need 6336 rank 3's, and not one fail in the entire fusing process.
The problem of bots is something that affects each and every MMO out there, including the 'big' MMO's, it is not something that is easy to address, and of course, these things take time. There is NO magic fix, where the devs can snap their fingers and make all the bots vanish.
Captcha is one suggestion, which is about as useful as a chocolate teapot to be honest, and just goes to annoy the genuine user, whereas companies that specialise in mass farming, will just have a room of people, whose sole purpose is to register thousands of accounts.
More GM's in game, again doesn't help, how many GM's do you want? how long are they supposed to investigate each accusation of botting? or shall we just ban players for having garbage @handles?
Investigating bots is a long process, and an ongoing process.
Do you know the best way that players can help with the bot problem? Stop buying from gold sellers.. its simple.. stop being their customers, and they will have no reason to be here..
Compared at what I have seen in both WoW and Guild Wars 2 here we are in heaven bot wise
I remember a time , in WoW where an army of bots died in the major cities to writhe with their bodies the adress of the gold farmers. The fact that here is not easy to tell them from the players is proof that there are not many of them and they are not so fierce. At least for now.
In pvp a bot is a joke. I remember that in Quake a player that was losing to bots was laughed at

You list the nicks sellers AH, which can easily be seen running continuously at a certain location? Once in a while the player himself will make a rune rank 5 and would like to sell it for a reasonable price. Massive sale of accounts bot kills the price.

Instantly a bot account huh? Glad we are generalizing based on what they have.
Not to mention they can open a new account - heck, 5 new accounts - and go straight back to botting.
You have to phrase as "bot account sellers with names of obvious gold seller sites".
That way you will not be attacked by totally delusional fanatics.

I think it is more of those sellers with gold selling websites posting zillions of one enchant sale on AH. Those are REALLY obvious.

You honestly think that's farmable?
