On another account of mine i said ya sure lets update the game and try it out i was bored. So started up the game. I needed some exotic pelts to do some leatherworking. So checked out the AH.
LOL i seen 2-5 listings of 999 exotic pelts for 5000AD Is that right i bought one. Why not? Is that the going rate for top end materials for a profession?
What a joke.

Most farmers are going to target higher areas, not lower, leading to an excess of materials they don't really care about.

Most characters don't spend enough time in a particular level bracket to accumulate a lot of mats for crafting at that level, compared to the amount of time spent at lvl 60 once they get there. A player might spend 10 hours going from lvl 10-20, but 100+ hours at lvl 60, so they're going to accumulate a lot more high-end than low-end mats. The price is set by supply and demand. If the market is flooded with high-end mats and low-end mats are more rare, the prices will reflect that.

Thing is though, it's not players bringing the supply, it's cheaters who use their army of bots.
