Scheduled Maintenance 7-18-13 7AM PDT

Hi all,

We'll be performing a scheduled maintenance tomorrow (Thursday), July 18 at 7AM PDT (when is that in your time zone?). Estimated downtime is 90 minutes.

Update 1 (7:00AM PDT): Scheduled maintenance has begun!
Update 2 (7:45AM PDT): Maintenance is ongoing. Thanks for your patience!
Update 3 (8:30AM PDT): we'll need to extend the scheduled maintenance for just a bit longer. Current ETA is 9AM PDT. Thank you!
Update 4 (9:00AM PDT): extending maintenance just a tiny bit! ETA 15 minutes!

    Good going so far....didint realize it just went live 7/3/13 ...now I know the reason for huge lag spikes in certain instances and enviroment and main hubs.... at least theres no rubberbanding...work on the localization more please

    Oh yeah I totally freaked when I couldnt connect earlier...had NO IDEA about maintenance whatsoever coming up...maybe a BIG "We'll be down for Maint." header in the launcher would be nice..

    Love the game though..this is the type of gameplay I was looking for when the other D&D came out several years ago...please dont screw this up..I ve looked forward to a D7D MMO that resembles closely the old Paper and Pencil Tabletop game...Dungeon Mastering will be cool with the Foundry set up you have ...hope connections workout and storylines are good. Peace

    . . . . . If you're unable to connect right now (at the time of my post and your post above), then it is not due to upcoming Maintenance. Maintenance is scheduled for 7:00 am Pacific, which is scheduled to begin in just under 9 hours from the time of my post here.

    . . . . . If you're on ATT/Verizon, it most likely has to do with an issue on ATT/Verizon's network, which is a known issue. Whether this is something that PWE can fix or not, hasn't been told to the Moderator Team yet. So it either is something only ATT/Verizon can fix, or something only PWE can fix, or is a joint effort. We just don't know yet. The linked thread here is about this issue I speak of. If we're relayed any information to share with the Community on this, it will be in either that thread or another on the topic.

    I still think that 7AM PST is an odd time for Maint. I would recommend doing it at like 3AM or something to have the smallest impact on players. Either way it would be nice to see a Maintenance notice on the login screen rather then just failed logon.

    On a side note, I don't see any notes about the Foundry? No changes to that this time? I hope that it does not go down for 48 hours again with this patch.

    Does the fix regarding the creation stat bonus fix apply to EXISTING characters retroactively or do we need to completely abandon existing created characters we already have to benefit from this update/fix? This was not clear from the written patch notes regarding the subject.

    Just a suggestion Cryptic: don't add an estimated timeframe. We all know you won't be able to keep it. That will just set people's expectations and fuel the flaming on the forums over it.

    That said I do appreciate the maintenance in the middle of the day for EST (and early morning for PST) as it avoids prime time gaming hours for most of us. :)

    REALLY?!? I dont know what launcher you use other than the only one there is but it has always said IN BIG BOLD BRIGHT RED LETTERS when the shard will be down...you just have to read or at-least look at the launcher when your signing in, there is even a server status green or red bubble at the top left corner of your launcher to let you know if the game server is available. Maybe you're just lazy??

    How about another status update? will the servers be back up at 8:30AM or will there be a delay?
    Would be nice to have the update before 8:30AM if there's going to be a delay.

    "Drow Slave Camp cages is now much more easy to interact with."

    Being careful not to pick holes in the syntax, I'd like to simply say "yay!". I levelled an alt last weekend, and rediscovered just how fiddly it was to find a spot where the game was content that you had LoS, and were thus allowed to interact with these.

    Love it! Great work so far!
    U guys should do next a better description of DC spells that deals damage and heal...
    for instance, Sun Burst deals 100-200 radiant damage and heal close allies, but how much?
    Like this:
    Sun Burst
    Deals 100-200 radiant damage
    Heals 100-200 to closes allies
    Sun burst, Sacred flame (temp. hit points) astral seal, astral shield and Forgemasters flame need a better discription in the heal part.
