Hello Foundry Community.

We have a new format for our Saturday twitch stream. We will be playing quests we think are great. Quests that have some really clever themes, story, map decorations, or unique mechanics. We want to spotlight for the community some great quests in hopes to give some ideas or inspirations to other authors. We are not critiquing quests, only pointing out what we like. Some new players will be rotating through our stream also.

Date: Saturday July 21, 2013
Time: 3pm EST - 2pm CST - 12noon PST - 8pm GMT
Length: Approximately 3 hours, maybe a little longer

    I'd like to nominate Secrets of the Ring by @donnyth (I think, can't check at work) Short code NW - dt25qalqy. It has some nice effects and makes REALLY good use of class specific choices.
    NW-DPTTECLTF - Cindy Jones and the Holy Stein. A simple but hopefully entertaining foray into the world of Foundry.

    OK if we can do that, I would like to nominate The Wishing Ceremony NW-DM2ENNIRJ by @Visualkeiuk There is work to be done on a few things, but they seem to put updates quick. But the story and maps and fights are solid. :)

    Critiques are for the players, this themed stream is not. As Zovya states in the OP:

    Because I have a voice like a robot that doesn’t sound at all like Alan Rickman. It’s so bad that I saw no choice but to Dislike my own Youtube video and tell myself to go die of cancer.

    Actually I'd like to amend what I just wrote. There is nothing wrong with critiquing quest-building showing all the good, bad and ugly (with an authors' permission of course); it would make for great workshops. But from my own perspective, as much as I enjoy video reviews, I know you guys nitpick over a ton of things we players wouldn't even notice.

    Unfortunately, critiquing leads to unwanted drama, hence the change to the stream format.

    Even though this is not what I originally wanted for the stream, I believe this will be a more enjoyable experience for the commentators as a whole who caught their unfair share of drama over the critiquing of quests from authors who submitted their quest to be critiqued. I certainly can understand why the change was wanted by the involved parties.
    There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.

    Yeah, I've seen a little of the drama when it spills into the forum. Quite sad.

    And props for doing these streams in your own time. If I remember I will tune in at 8pm and catch the first half. The last two quests are on my to-play list, so I will have to watch that on replay as I like to play them blind first time.

    One down, one to go. I may be able to tune in after all.

    Kudos for running through Dee's The Gold Medallion. What a seriously underplayed Foundry...Dee you have to promote your work more. I couldn't even find it on Bobcat's list of UGC, but it really deserves a thread all of its own.

    Just started maps so will probably be about 4-6 weeks.

    Due to some scheduling and loss of some of the stream's casting, no stream this week. But it's not gone. Working with Tsumoro and others to get it going again. Possibly a different time and format, not sure yet. Whatever we come up with, we want it to be entertaining, and informative/inspirational to the Foundry Community.

    Yeah, seems our attempt to help the community only backfired and targeted us for griefing, therefore, many of the members don't really care to deal with the community anymore. As an added note I sincerely hope who ever targeted us for griefing dies a horrible death as you are a truly horrible person and the world would be better off without you.

    Actually, the people who are to blame are those with AUTHORITY who also have the RESPONSIBILITY to keep things working the way they intended. In other words it is the responsibility of Cryptic and PWE to prevent griefers from using their system in ways that was never intended and extremely disruptive to the community. Otherwise they are letting those who are abusing the system know that it is okay to do so. They have responsibility to fix this, I hope they make a real effort to do so or they will have an extremely disappointing foundry community as the worthless dregs continue to pull the system down into the muck.

    It seems Cryptic and PWE have no idea how disruptive this abuse has been. You could create copies of your quests and then destroy the original by making it a one room quest that cannot be completed, and republish. Keeping your full quest in the new copy but unpublished form until they get their act together. I wish it could be done for the featured quests too...
