Must have played hundreds of foundries, but yesterday I had a blue item drop from a trash mob, and was really surprised. Anyone else had this happen?

    When did your drop happen?

Yes, I have had a few now. Not loads, I can count them without removing my shoes, but a few. I suppose the drop rate isn't that different from normal world trash mobs.

yes. There is a very small % chance that *any* mob can drop a blue item. I find one or 2 a month this way, some in foundry, some not.

A couple weeks ago in Bill's Tavern. It was a GWF bracer. Totally useless to me, and not worth any ad, but I was happy none-the-less.

I had a blue resource drop once, think its arcane shard. Also the blue seals in dungeons, though I do not think they count as an item lol. The blue glow is NICE!

That's very sad actually - we play hundreds of foundry quests, some of them are 90 or even 100 minutes long and there was a single blue drop. And now there is even topic about it.
How fascinating - I will play 1.000.000 more to get one valuable item because developers said so.

Because some jerks used foundry some time ago to get rich illegally - now we have to pay for that. Even in game all players have to pay for mistakes of few.

Mobs in Foundry quests were not nerfed, not even touched due to the previous exploiting. They're the same as regular world mobs.

I think that may have happened to me also. But I thought that can't be right, and convince myself must have mistaken it for something else.

Yes, but it has only happened once. I'm guessing I've played 40 - 60 foundry quests and have killed hundreds of mobs.

The blue item was a ring that dropped off a large fire demon mob. I can't remember the foundry. The ring didn't have the stats I prefer so I ended up selling it on the AH.

Had that lucky drop too. Just nice to have some useless of a blue color sitting in the chest.
Now we need to push for epic chests in foundry quest.

I think I've gotten one as a random drop. Ha. Still better than the solo boss loot that is worse than the random green gear.

Exactly. How often do you get blue drops from regular mobs, period? Same drop chances.

This is very serendipitous. The day before yesterday, my buddy got a blue drop in Cragsteep (2-manned it! Very tough) Then last night, I picked up a blue in Caravan on hard. Neither of us had ever seen a blue drop in 100s of Foundry runs. I wonder if something changed....

Two weeks ago I got a tempered berserker amulet off the "boss" in protect the caravan. And yes, the foundry mobs are different because they have a built in cut off drop rate. If you kill too many too fast, they stop giving loot, and xp starts to drop off.

I don't understand why it's so hard for them to allow good drops. It could be something like drop a blue after 20 encounters, or a flag that allows the boss to drop a random blue, but only 1 / hour (or 45 min?). That would require the dungeon to take an hour to complete. If the average playtime drops below 60 min, then the boss doesn't drop the rare.

Same thing with the lootable skill things. Allow one / 15-30 min, but it doesn't spawn until the game's been up for 15 minutes, so you don't get people farming over-and-over.

Then they need to start allowing us to create T1 and T2 dungeon delves where the final boss can drop epics. Require a 2 hour limit and x drops / run(or hour).

That's why I came to NW, and that's the only thing that will make me stay.

Have had three Blue drops. However, none of them have matched my class. I ended up selling them with good results because they were uniques.

I had only one and i gave it to my pet. However you have to remember that they are overcautious about the foundry because it would be easy to abuse of it. For example a guy could create a map were you fight thousands of mobs... one at time and all trash. The final boss likewise could be alone and spawning no extra. You can understand how easy would be to farm such a map.
