    'Volo Smelt' has a certain ring (I'm sure most know but just in case anyone doesn't, a foundry is used to 'smelt' metal along with other processes.).

    Ok, now I have a discussion that will divide and murder the community of foundry.
    What race and colour of cat?
    Review trades - Need to trade review? Read first post for further info.

    Don't forget to add "of Gilead" at the end of whatever you decide... I hope quite a few get the reference... (or maybe it should be... "Too bad we can't..." instead of "Don't forget to...")

    On a side note... I don't know if a cat would represent the Foundry enough... They don't seem particularly... buildy... animals.

    Shouldn't the Foundry Cat be called Foundling given it is becoming clear Cryptic have abandoned both the Foundry and the Foundry Community.

    Personally, global zone foundry chat is annoyingly crowded. Also, if I were to help there, I would have to replace my skull with something metal, because it would otherwise crush of the amount of facepalms I would make.

    I would vote for insomnia too. Once foundry made me literally not sleep through one night.

    Hehehe, yes that has happened to me as well. I just keep getting silly ideas to create in the Foundry right before I sleep and then I think of them all night. Oh well, guess it's a training thing. ;)

    About the deadlines... I really believe we do need a deadline if this is going to work and tonight is as good as any. ;)

    The idea is to have a mascot that travels from foundry quest to foundry quest, regardless of author - which would no doubt freak out casual foundry players.

    In that regard, I think a name like "Meowstrel" would work well - you could make it tell you tales... or just stand there, if that's what you want.

    For now I think I'll go for 'Chairman Meow'... but if they don't get the foundry fixed soon I'm gonna have to go with 'Gobbler the Turkey' for the foundry mascot.

    Sticking with the Moorcock theme, I like Whiskers, who was the intelligent winged cat (he sometimes appeared without them) that crops up in many of the eternal champion books. He's in the background on Jhary's shoulder.

    Either way, I like the idea of a name that isn't immersion breaking, some of the nominations are funny, but won't end up in my quests unless I am doing something whacky or satirical. Maybe we should just have a cat that always looks the same, but can be called anything?
