You missed the memo that DCs are dead weight in PvP and should not be allowed to enter PvP areas for their own good. I've got a T1-T2 char of each class and DC is the only one that I never take PvPing because it's a waste of time and a burden on my team. Well I could do the minimum to not get flagged afk and collect my double AD daily but it's just too painful. Seriously, forget about being a healer in PvP. Sooner you accept that the dmg vs. healing setup in this game is broken and way too lopsided in favor of dmg and CC, and make another char for PvP, the better.
Untrue.
I have a 60 DC, with a moderate GS of 10.5k. I PUG PvP often and am definitely not a hindrance to my team. Sure, if my team are bots or newly 60's in green gear we get steamrolled.
However, if my team is decent the DC can turn the tide of fights and I have.
It takes some caution and quick use of the shift key but far from 'dead weight'.
I also have a GF and TR at 60 and pvp with those classes as well.

this is usually true at such gear score as long as the other team isn't well geared or doesn't have a control wizard and rogue going after it... control wizards going after clerics usually never ends up well for the cleric toss in another CW or rogue or even a GF and all the cleric can do is die (control wizard holds or freezes initially and there isn't any escape afterwards especially with a following spike) ... at 10,500 GS you are typically well geared compared to most but aren't overgeared
I have to agree with some of this. While 2v1 is hard it is not impossible. I find that Great Weapon Fighters are overpowered in the game currently especially when 1 v 1 against a Control Wizard.
CW: A ranged class, so stay ranged. GWF sprint to you closes distance very quickly. Stun locks you. Can build determination while attacking and while being attacked if feats are correct and as such can use unstoppable which with the correct feats can increase action points greatly. Unstoppable = temporary hit points (temporary shield)and increased defense plus break out and null cc effects. AND a class skill that can increase duration of their control skills i.e. longer stun/prone duration. Not to mention a defense close to a guardian fighter's.. and even damage close to a trickster rogue. Simply put,if built right and moderately geared a GWF is way overpowered class with a experienced player behind it.
Trickster Rogues get impossible to catch which can null damage and cc effects.
GWF Unstoppable which nulls cc effects and temp hit points plus can have immunity skill
GF has a shield, can have a very effective reflect as well as several feats that can apply temporary hit points
Clerics gets decreased damage class skill and immunity to 1 skill every 40 seconds. plus healing
What to Control Wizards get? Granted most, almost all the skills control wizards get be negated, healed, or blocked. what do CW get in that respect? Shield? not much help there. There is your utility skill that has 3 charges at full stamina.. however more often then not i find myself rubber banding after being hit by a skill of a GWF. we do have a purposed reflect like a GF but it does so little damage compared to a GF its pointless. Control wizards can do high damage but only after de-buffing the target.
My evaluation of a one on one fight between a Control Wizard vs a Great Weapon Fighter with equal gears and players of equal experience Great Weapon Fighter will win everytime
I use space bar for utility skill =P

Clerics only have that one skill that blocks every 40 seconds if they too the defense path which is something few clerics will have taken and its something they can't rely upon as they are typically hit many times during 40 seconds and you don't know what it will block even when it does go off (its also the last skill in the tree so you do have to use all but 6 of your points just to get it), additionally cleric self heals are pathetic. If you are a dwarf you would have more of a blocking chance from level 1 up. I guess the cleric gets nothing.

i can escape GWF and TR.. ill post a vid soon
with proper timing on "shift" and a help of severe reaction and brisk teleport (these two are feats on oppresor paragon path)
P.S,CWs dont be too dumb wasting all your powers on GWFs with unstoppable on, and TR on immune.. wait for the right timing
Every CC can be dodged and I have seen my EF to be dodged by CWs, DCs and TRs alike. GF can be immune while Shield Block is up and GWFs can pop their Immunity to avoid it.
Another thread to prove that Neverwinter probably has the worst community of all MMO's. If the games broken state wouldn't be enough to make me quit the game, you people sure will with your "learn to play!", "reroll the overpowered class and stop complaining!", "It's their role to CC, so balance doesn't matter!", "everyone can dodge, so stun duration doesn't matter" and the oh so common "Do premade PvP and fight against non-premades, that's a great PvP fix herpderp" and whatever HAMSTER **** you use to defend this game as if it was your own proud creation. Some people in this forum are so blindly defending this game, words like bigots and dogmatics come to mind, but mostly I just see you as obnoxious idiots.
DC's has the weakest dodge of all classes fyi, it's slow to recharge and we never have the chance to avoid the most powerful powers as we're always attacked by more than 2 enemies at the same time (read: we're the main target), we're just gonna spam the shift-button with hopes of at least being able to use that once before being stunned/strangled/knocked to prone to death. Things would be different if the dodge would also break CC (obviously not for CW's and TR's, that wouldn't be fair). Also considering the fact that the servers are international, but located in the US west coast, dodging as a NON-AMERICAN becomes hell a lot harder with twice or three times the ping of the attacker. We can't rely completely on a dodge, it's not a valid argument in the CC debate.
Now, lets await the "L2P" comments from the forums biggest idiots.
