Everybody knows that bots are ruining this game.
And everybody knows that nothing is done about the bots, if u play 60 bracket pvp, u probably have seen the same bots for months and they r still unbanned.
So i had the idea of a team complaining system.
An option button that makes a complain about one person, and if such person has 3 complains, he gets kicked from the group.
Im pretty sure that with this system bots are ruined and they will get no matches at all.
Maybe some HAMSTER ppl will get kicked often, but it will be a minor problem, since the major question here is kick bots.
What u guys think? Lets keep this topic heads up, so ppl can leave their opinions.

Sounds like a good idea until someone makes 3 accounts and gets you banned/punished.

Except that I think he means three people from within the party. One person can't have their three accounts in one pvp party unless they've got three computers running, which I doubt.
im trying all week sending massages to cryptic about people selling 500 lvl 5 enchantments in ah. this is clearly exploit or bot or something. it takes 5 min in ah to find this people who r ruining the game. guess what cryptic doing about this.. nada. 5 min in morning and 5 min in evening to kick this people out of game. cryptic is doing nothing. this is probably what they will do with ur problem.
I have played plenty of PVP and I still cannot prove they are bots, and neither can you.
I tend to agree with this assessment...
I PvPed mostly for leveling and at 60. I can count on one hand the amount of suspected bots I saw in a match. Of course, I cannot be sure and why I don't point the finger unless there is substantial proof.
The people saying "you can't prove they are bots" are either 10 years old, botting themselves or f'ing morons who actually think they are dominating real players. Proving that over half of the current PvP player base is made up of Bots (which they are) is irrelevant and those of you feeling good about yourself arguing this technicality are insanely dumb...
Bots are destroying this game from the inside out. Either get on board with this or get the F out because some of us actually want this game to succeed....
EDIT: Just played two games in a row with different opponents where myself and the only real player on the other team spent the whole time talking about how both our teams had 4 bots on them and actually joined up to "play" with said bots....2 games in a row with different people!!! Its pretty easy to spot them...i'm sorry if you havn't figured it out yet...really. But it doesn't change the fact that a dev team that doesn't actively and persistently combat bots (especially when there are numerous easy fixes to the current state of affairs) is almost inviting the game to fail....

Do you PvP? Do you have any idea how to tell when a majority of players in a PvP match are bots? Furthermore, is it more important to you to argue the point that bots aren't destroying this game than it is to just except from avid PvP'ers (none of which dispute this) that the medium has been completely destroyed by bots? Be it 30% or 70%, the point is still the same (hence why I said that proving it was irrelevant)....get it? No? Ok then....anyone else?
If a "player" is running around using starting level 4 gear...
They could be decked out in top tear gear and its still obvious...if tang56 has truly played "plenty of PvP" like he claims and couldn't realize when he was beating down a bot...he is stupid, plain and simple. Bots are programs with fairly limited capabilities and their patterns are beyond easy to spot if you are paying the least bit of attention...Z
Zone chatting is also effective, most real players will respond to "say hi if you are not a bot"....

Did I say I played plenty of PvP anywhere? Nope. lrn2read.
Don't bother responding to theviking, guys. He does this in every thread and still isn't banned for blatant trolling everyday.
I posted this in another thread. Here's my solution to stopping bots in PvP:
1. GMs. Actual GMs has always been the best deterrent against botters, exploiters, and gold sellers. Neverwinter has none, that's why exploiting and botting are so rampant. With real GMs in the game, they can read and investigate reports of botting, then ban the botters fast and easy. It takes money to hire GMs though and PWE will never pay for GMs to monitor this game.
2. Don't allow for PvP potions to be sold back to the vendor for gold. Gold is one of the main reasons why botters bot in PvP after they reached level 60. Take away that incentive and they have 1 less reason to bot.
3. Don't give XP to the losing team below level 60 PvP. This is the other main reason why botters bot in PvP. They level up using PvP because it's fast and easy. Whether they're on the winning or losing team, they get XP. If you made it so that the losing team got no XP, then bots would have little reason to bot in PvP under level 60 because more often than not, the teams they're on loses.
4. Make PvP gear Bind on Pickup. This is the last reason why botters bot in PvP. They acquire PvP gear and sell it on the AH, even though it's for little AD. They don't care though. Any AD is good AD to them so they can sell it for real money. Remove this incentive and they'll stop botting. I never understood why PvP gear was Bind on Equip in the first place...
There you have it. Simple, easy steps to get rid of botting in PvP. I doubt PWE or Cryptic cares enough to address this major problem in Neverwinter though, so most of what I just typed is wasted on deaf ears and blind eyes.
Zone chatting is also effective, most real players will respond to "say hi if you are not a bot"....
That's assuming everyone has Zone chat turned on. And even if I did, I still wouldn't respond because folks like you aren't worth the time. Don't even bother responding to this because I already know what asspained drivel you're going to spew out.

I agree very much with 1, except we will see Zen prices soar as those guys will need to be paid.
2,3 and 4 are all about removing rewards for pvp in general and for the ones that lose specifically. This will only slow a bot's progress, not stop it, and severely annoy real players who end up with nothing because they had to allow cheaters to cheat. That's so wrong for so many reasons.
I'd say the only thing to make sure it's not a bot is a random question before the match starts and before you get your rewards.
Bots are extremely easy to prove in pvp, even though a lot of people play like bots, they at least take different routes, are not heavily undergeared and ride mounts.
I am worried by the mods statement that at 60 the bot's somehow magically disappear. This is not true. The only reason why this appears this way is because there are a lot more lvl60's doing pvp than pre-60's. The bot population get's diluted with the influx of real players.
My suggestion to Cryptic if they want to see the scope of the bot-problem... follow some matches in the slow hours, European morning time for instance. EVERY match has at least one bot. And they do not go away simply because the US starts to wake up.
Do you PvP? Do you have any idea how to tell when a majority of players in a PvP match are bots? I PvP quite extensively and if you read my previous post, then you would realize that I mentioned it already.
So, you're telling me that if I took a sample of avid PvPers from my guild, that over 50% are bots? I think you just make it up as you go...
EDIT: Today was the first time in a long time that I saw a suspected bot. Why too obvious that he wasn't imo.

I agree with all steps but 3. Its a very entertaining issue to play pvp below 60 bracket. To lvl or not, its a way to catch and keep entertaining new players. The perfect situation would be the number 1. But, u know ...
The complaining system its a player based resolution when the GMs, Cryptic, etc. cant do.

BAN BOTTERS !!!! ISP - ACCOUNT - ALL of it !! BAN THEM!!
Very easy to do if youre behind the scenes at the company running the right scripts.
I see you keep challenging players on this, which you know they wont be able to do, however its not about the players being able to prove it, its about knowing that the company can, yet the problem still exists months afterward.
The issue here is the company strongly advocates automated systems over human checks and balances. This creates a situation that can be abused at will.
What I notice in low bracket PvP is that there seem to be people that run out and then just stand there doing nothing. I can walk in front of them and they won't attack or even move. I can visibly begin to cast aoe abilities around them and they still won't move, but if I damage them, they will start to attack me relentlessly. More or less they behave like the NPC AI in the game.
I kind of found it hilarious because the first few times I noticed this. If they aren't standing on the capture point, you can pretty much play around them and they won't do anything. I don't know if these are actual players or NPCs the game slots in to fill a match.
Not sure if this is what people are complaining about.
Well this and also making PvP Glory items Bind on Pickup should reduce the incentive for botting. You can't really stop botting - just make it not worth doing.

I for one dont like bots, but how do you sort out the people who are running bots, and people who are at their computers but just dicking around.

Prove they are bots is all I am saying.
Hey unirod, this is not a ban tool, its a vote for kick.
Bro, i dont need to prove it here for u. Go pvp and check by urself before come here. Ppl who goes to pvp knows what im talking about. Cya.

"The harder the game, the better."
Yes there are, most are pretty straight forward and common sense...yet they haven't been implemented...no idea why.

This is the problem with "true PVPers" they cant even read, how can you expect them to point out who is a bot and who isnt.
