Slow Servers

*sgh* Again servers are painfully slow for me. Right now I can't save at all. Anyone else experiencing this too?

Loading/reseting preview is also slow. Usually they're ok, with some slow down once in a while but right now they're almost impossible to do anything.

EDIT: changed title to include "can't save"

    I wonder if we're forced to authenticate on global PWE servers each time we save, etc. instead of Cryptic-run servers?

    At least you guys got in. I can log in, but each time I try to open my quest, it times out and I'm back to the main login :(

    Now it's detailed errors instead of simple timeout errors...

    Error saving: Resource upload failed: Patch upload error. Error: the connection was idle for too long (etc...)

    Consider yourself lucky. I sure as heck my work doesn't go *poof* thanks to their server issues.

    Yeah, I think the whole thing is down again. It keeps timing out during the login screen and won't let me in. Been going on for an hour or so.

    And no one can say "but it's beta" since it's live now, lol. Even the launch feels like a closed beta. /rant

    My one shot to get some serious work done... and this happens... figures, lol.

    The fates are against me, I shall never complete my quest it seems.

    I'm in the editor since many minutes. But I can't save anything. I'm not sure when the last save happened. Hope, the stuff that I made the last minutes isn't for the dog. Hell.

    Doesn't beat the Sunday we had where servers down all day, or the four day outage last weekend of the Foundry tools.

    I'm finishing up my first and only quest so far. 1450 details, keeping it within 1500 max of one map, no loading screens, huge quest.

    After all of these issues with Cryptic's reliability, I'll be done with Foundry editing for a long time once I finish my only quest. It's just so tedious and painful all of the slowdown, server lag, and server outages. After this one I'll actually play Neverwinter for a change.

    Yeah, I haven't worked a whole lot on my second quest, just been enjoying the game (and tweaking the first one) the last couple of weeks. Got some good stuff done yesterday though, and was hoping to get in there today. Hopefully it's a short interruption and not one of these ridiculously long outages.

    Took a few tries to log into Foundry. Now I am unable to save. To begin with, when saving, it already took a long time before this event. And when in 3D edit, choosing to save the edits and reload the 3D is always met with at least 120sec of 'server not responding' until it finally reloads the 3D map.

    I wish they'd give you more control. Annoying to have the entire screen blanked out while we wait for a timeout error.

    Cryptic, please give us the option to Cancel or continue trying indefinitely since it seems the servers are working, just painfully slow.

    Or better yet, let us save our work locally too since we know we can't depend on your servers.

    Yup, that's what I get. Sometimes it's that, sometimes a simpler timeout message.

    Yeah obviously something is going on now. I can log in to the editor but when I try to open a quest for editing it just times out and kicks me back to the login screen. I've been trying to publish a quest since Sunday morning that I spent all day Saturday making. I really need to balance test it and it doesn't look like it's going to happen this week now since I have to go back to work tomorrow :( As is always the case with new MMO games... bugs abound and lots of waiting for fixes.

    SESO is the word of the day. (Save Early Save Often)

    It was lagging so I had been saving as I went. Glad now. At worst half a room of data tossed with no save before it bugged out.

    Maybe auto save got the chunks. We will see when/if foundry returns.

    Just wanted to add my date/time stamp to the Foundry Editor "Timing Out" message.

    5:46 pm EST (or EDT is that's even a thing.)

    EDIT: 5:47 pm...."Foundry Editing Not Allowed" message this time. lol

    Yeah, I usually save every 20 minutes or so. I just finishing a tedious batch of dialog cleanup (grammar, spelling, organization, etc.) and now can't save it.

    And where's the communication by Cryptic/PWE? Nothing on their twitter account, nothing on the forums. This is during their normal work day hours.

    Here as well. I was able to get to the quest selection page and it kicked to log in. Tried again and Foundry Not Allowed. Que the doom of game posts in 3...2...1...

    I was patient all the time. But my balls are vibrating now. My hair is getting long an brown. Think, I will transform into a Super-Rage-Kid soon.

    Anyone have experience with a situation like this in the past?

    Should I just leave my Foundry minimized for now? I certainly don't want to continue working while it's down. Will it timeout my connection and dump me to the login screen? If it does, how will it save my work?

    I can't quit if I want to save my work. I've been online before when the servers went down completely, but it autosaved my work. Not sure about this time? Any ideas out there?
