Cryptic: Where are my 1,380,000 ADs?

Start the flux capacitor. Back in 04/27/2013, the Auction House ate 1,380,000 ADs (from Hero of the North Founder pack) that I had bid on an item. Few hours later, the item was not there, and neither any mail about the item or the ADs. No, I didn't delete it by mistake. 100% sure of that. Made an in game ticket. Useless. After weeks, it was closed without resolving it.

Took the ticket's reference and sent a new one, because as a no cheater/exploiter, that amount of AD is no joke to me ("wasting" it on vanity is one thing, losing it for no reason is another). After more weeks, an automated response that has nothing to do with my issue basically tells me to post here and only mail them back if my issue is about Zen, being hacked or being banned. Which is not the case for me. Neither have I lost stuff to the rollback.

Cryptic, you owe me 1,380,000 ADs. I'm tired of waiting. I'm understading about all the beta thingy, overload of tickets and whatever. That doesn't change that I'm tired of waiting. If you don't plan to refund me the ADs, just tell me that you won't and I'll (sadly) move on. But if I'm supposed to wait to the previous day that Neverwinter closes its servers for good to get my rightful ADs back, no way. (mommy needs a cat and a greater bag of holding!)

I'll keep the server and character, as well as IDs of the tickets, as private unless someone with real authority needs them.

P.D. missing ADs or not, love the game. *insert bear emoticon raising a clawed thumb*

He's taking it a lot better than I would be. Two month's is beyond horrible. I hope they get you sorted out soon OP.

Actually, waiting two months to send a second ticket is probably not good. In this instance, patience is suspicious (from a CS perspective)

Threatening? You may like to invest in a good dictionary, "mate".

You won't really get "someone with real authority" responding to your thread I am afraid, the best you will get, is to be told to send an email to support, as there is really nothing that the forum moderators can do to help you, they are not GM's, just volunteers who help try to tidy up the trash..
I reject your reality and I substitute my own!

You'll lose your account, but if they "lost" 65% of the AD in my $200 package I would have VISA reverse the payment on pure ****ing principle.

I lost a bit myself, I believe it was 600k at that time. I never got my AD back, and they never did anything more then close my ticket. I gave up, because they refused to help me. It is not everyday that 600,000 AD just walks up and goes missing... 600k is noticeable.

    Your choices are:

    1. Dispute the payment, prepare to get banned and you won't be able to use the same card or payment system. At least you didn't lose anything.

    2. Pray to whatever deity you worship and hope for the best.

    3. Use the support ticket again.

All I can imagine is being overcharged on your credit card at Sears - and complaining at the service desk. They immediately call the police and have you escorted out of the building and get a restraining order on you to never enter Sears again, until you can prove in court that they actually stole from you - just lmao.

Sorry to hear about your problem OP. Its a shame there's no other recourse you can take.

Lets see, 2 months, thats ~8x7 day weeks - each ticket being set to solved status after one week, which they do to avoid "ticket limbo".

Using the tools available in the RN email system, which is the system they use, they could be out of this backlog mess by now.

If they live in the EU they have a 2 year guarantee they can invoke and get their money back. Customer paid for AD, AD was delivered, then AD disappeared due to malfunction in their in game transaction system.

For about two weeks I was missing 900,000 of my 2,000,000 AD and then a bit after putting in my ticket they showed back up. Like you say though, if they had refused to find/restore my AD I was going to have the charge reversed and deal with the most likely account closure. If its been this long I'm not sure what to say though, I put my ticket in later then you and got resolved before you. My circumstances were probably different though since my account was probably compromised before they went missing and that led to a different outcome.

Actually there is always a recourse. This is the USA not some 3rd world country. You can dispute your charges with Sears and if you are in the right your CC company will side with you. They can only call the police if you are being belligerent or refuse to leave their property.

Precisely why i never buy any "beta" packages. That gives PW an excuse for errors within the gaming community.

The thing is...it's very hard to prove something when it comes to virtual good transactions. Technically you're receiving a "service". US Law isn't exactly updated yet to 21st century standards concerning virtual goods.

I have lost some also, nothing like this amount though. I don't think anyone's comments here are valid though, none but the OPs direct point of interest. A response direct from the devs/persons responsible would be good.

Without stepping into a crazy realm, it would only be a problem if they refused to compensate him.

Right now it's more a problem of non-existent communication. *If* he was to reverse charges (and I'm not saying do that), he's already fulfilled all obligations required of him via his CC company with the in-game attempt at communication and the forum post. So it's pretty much in PW's corner to make it right.

Yeah... most games are now "gimmicky" pre-order this and that to get shiny. Which is a poor direction where the gaming industry is heading.

Welcome to Cryptic World of Bugs and Unresponse.

I played Champions Online for years and i know what kind of company is this.

Do not buy anything with real money for a while and they will start fixing the bugs. If peoples continue to buy **** with real money, they only add more cosmetics and other useless stuff to Zen market.

And you will wait new content for ages.

Dont say me Gaunltgrym... its pre-planned already...

    Thats why Atari left them.

This game going to deserted with Cryptic unless Hasbro or Wizard of the Coast take the rights of the game and give them to better company. Well... Wizard of the Coast is the reason why im playing the game.

Also the other way to save this game is bringing "Freeform" classes asap. Nature of D&D.

I had a similar experience. I bid on an item in the auction house, I won the auction and then no item in my mail and my AD were gone. I put in a ticket and no response at all from Cryptic. Now I'm afraid to bid in the AH and only do buyouts. I also don't trust Cyptic as a company any more and spend a lot less money on Zen as a result.

I've seen on other gaming forums moderators or admins help bring things like this to the attention of the appropriate party and get it resolved. Hopefully someone can help you OP, I'm sure that's very frustrating. :(

I've had the AH eat a ton of AD when the bid bug existed. This was at start of game and never got my AD Back. This is after many tickets submitted and all of them closed by support with no response besides they are to busy.

I just chalk it up to poor customer service and moved on and hope that I never have a serious issue with my account.

As I see it NW is a Play at your own risk game with no support.

I agree. I read a lot of complaints about stuff in the game but my opinion is that I like the game and since it's free, they must get their funding from somewhere. I don't have the money to do more than by a thousand or so zen every now and again, so it's obvious I'm not as important in keeping this game alive. So I do hope this issue and any like it gets resolved without losing the players.

Though on the other hand, I don't really use the zen-ad exchange thing. So if I lost that much it means not only that it's probably the work of a month or two of dailies and maybe ten lockboxes that *might* have jeweled idol, but also I wouldn't be able to "get my money back" for it. So it'd be nice if they found an overall solution. But to be honest, I can wait. I'm not so sure the people paying more should have to. It might not be fair to be viewed differently but, darn it, I like the game and they help make it possible.

    PLEASE FIX THIS.

I'm not threatening anyone, just complaining in the place indicated by the automated email I received. One month after first ticket, they close it without reading it. In game tickets go to hell after that (as usual) so I have to send normal mail. More week for... an automated reply that has nothing to do with my issue!! And leaves me only as option to come here to... waste my time as I don't really expect nothing to be done about this. Another in game ticket? ROFL Yeah, sure. So it's closed one month later again without reading it?

I much prefer a Cryptic employee posting here (or PM) telling me that I won't get the ADs (or to refund them!) than to have to pointlessly wait for more and more weeks with tickets that won't be read because they are going to be always more busy with other issues (apparently).

As much as it was (defined) as Open Beta, those ADs bought with real money were not Beta despite the bug in the AH that ate them. Good thing that they are not vital to my enjoyment of the game but a pity about the response time (the kind of response).
