Not the one with crappy heals, 0 useful debuffs and buffs and a self debuff heal with limited survivability. Like a real cleric class that can tank, heal, buff, and debuff. Also one that doesn't focus and rely on one skill, astral shield, that gets nerfed though nobody complained, it was already HAMSTER.
Just wondering, when does the real healer class come out? When people see cleric, they rush at them looking for an easy kill, it should be the opposite, really.
couple years, warlock and ranger are next 2 classes.

If you are looking to PnP 2nd Cleric........ not so much.
4th ed changes the way healing works. There are surges and the good old "Heal spell" or "mass heal" is kind of going away. There are limited daily and encounter healing in 4th ed, but not much from 3.5 and lower.
If you are looking for a "heal tank" (old term for people who can do heal and tank, the opposite is mage tank), I don't see it happening without wreaking "balance"
You know, I can give you the best answer you get right now - I have absolutely no idea! They haven't even announced the warlock and the ranger yet. I doubt you'll ever see the classic cleric(ooh, that rhymes) in neverwinter ever.

Its already in the game. First I heal, now Im tanking 9/10ths of the mobs.
tank = they do (2nd best tank after real tanks).
heal = they do, mainly in aoe
buff = It sounds like they do, if you consider protection as a buff. More buffs will come with other classes (I'm pretty sure).
debuff = they do but, hell, you can't choose all skills together. Make a choice.
If you don't do all of that, check your stuff, skills, abilities etc.
So what else ? Coffee making ? Marmelade ? Why not a shinning cleric with superman mod, fly like a dragon and sending firework while they instant heal the whole group ? Everybody is complaining about nothing and everything: they want more heal, more tank, more buffs, and most of peoples complain because they want clerics as a DPS, PVP point grabber, aoe stunners etc. Be serious.

actually the only class in the game I have yet to try is the Trickster Rogue.

There's multiple archetypes to a cleric; which one is 'real' to you?
The real cleric to me is the one in mail armor, wielding a melee weapon and a shield; sort of like a paladin (less armor, more heals). I expected this when I made my character.. I was severely disappointed.
I'd play a paladin too if it came in, but.. the game is draining me badly; I really do not want to level another character. Going through the same grueling tutorial and starting few areas is just, uggggh.
Well the 3 rogues who couldn't kill me in pvp today disagree with your assessment that we cannot tank. Try equipping Defense Deflection and Regen gear if you want to tank. that what the tanks of other classes do.

Yeah, a dwarven cleric without a big warhammer is not a dwarven cleric.

What crack are you smoking Clerics can't tank in PnP, they have no mark abilities, the closest they come to tanking is the DM goes.. you know what.. you're stopping me from killing everyone, with your buffs and debuffs and heals. Then they try to kill you.
This game is based on 4th edition perhaps look up on it.
The next cleric we'll see (if the way the Fighters worked out is any indicator that they are doing the base 2 builds from the Player Handbooks) first will be Battle Cleric, which is a melee buffer/debuffer healer, and my personal choice of Cleric outside of Warpriests which I'm not holding my breath on getting.
Module one is Feywild related so my guess is we'll get some primal classes by then.
LOL, you guys make me laugh. You do know I was being sarcastic right? I know this is the real cleric class but after patch, they just cant do much, where are the group heals, the debuffs, the buffs, the proper healing abilities? I don't want any battle clerics or anything, my point is this patch killed the devoted cleric and they seriously can't heal or tank for sh-t, even with a 13k GS I find it much harder to keep my party alive after testing the shard. I used to solo heal any dungeon which brings space for a GF or a GWF if they are really geared, or maybe a second TR sometimes. Now its just 2DC 1TR 2CW every party after patch... this is stupid.
Oddly, I think Cryptic got the cleric right when compared to PnP. It is rare that you'll see a lot of healing going on in combat in a PnP game. It's nice to see that they can be more than a healing battery in an MMO, too. They *can* heal, but they also have a lot more to offer.
You mean the WoW Paladin? Gods, I hope never. This is DnD... healers don't get to do everything under the sun.
And yes, the Cleric heals just fine. The only nerf that's coming is a fix to the effective immortality that multiple Clerics can bestow. If you're finding gameplay so difficult that you cannot manage without obvious cheats like that, either l2p or go back to WoW.

Ah, the old l2p and go back to WOW. A sure sign of first grade trolling - or should that be bottom grade?
Anyway, what you are talking about is AS stacking. Most every Cleric on here agrees that that shouldn't be happening and rightly needs changing. That gives the so called immortality of multiple Cleric you have written.
However, there is more to the patch change than this. You really need to check the notes out.
Now you say Cleric healing is fine - no it is absolutely not. It is made up of several poor/bugged/near useless skills propped up by one major one. The patch title is balance - well the Cleric skill set really needs this balance.
Although the changes - note the plural - to AS have hit the headlines, this has overshadowed the poorly structured other skills. These are equally in need of adjustments, which need to happen simultaneously with the AS change.
And remember, the Cleric is currently the only group healer in the game - changes to this class have an immediate knock on effect to every player in every group.
...............vote for your favourite expansion.......... "Mod 6. Oh my f****** god. It gutted the game pure and simple. And what wasn't gutted was messed up by the poorly thought out new level cap and equip. The game never recovered from that atrocity". ..............not this one then.............
I sit here and read these posts, and recall, around 1974 1975, when D&D came out, and have played it PnP since then, I prefer not to delve into the 4th Ed all that much, though I do love this MMO, alot of things are conflicts between those who prefer 4th Ed, over the previous edition and kinda a war between pre-4th Ed stuff, and those who love 4th Ed more so. In the end, it really doesn't matter, what one group prefers over another. We all play the same game, or we wouldn't be here or even posting on this forum. Those who remember D&D before it became AD&D remember well the classes were not balanced, nor should they be. Each has its own area it honestly should be OP in, so why everyone screams there should be a more balanced game, I am just guessing are more the pvp'ers , as in these forums that is who I see, always complaining about this class or that being OP. There is a large group of people who do not pvp in this game. Who have recently started doing so here and there only because of Gauntlgrym coming out soon. So to me most all of this is illogical arguing. As we all have things we like, but they will never make all of us happy fully apparently, in anything they do. So instead of complaining lets stand behind them and just enjoy the game.
One other thing that I have noticed, everyone thinks Cryptic is it's own real entity, if you do the research, Cryptic is a solely owned subsidiary of PerfectWorld.
