So, after all the nerfs do you guys think he is still going to be viable?
I see alot of nerfs but then I see that the powers will benefit more from the power stat, so I dont know how it is going to be...
They didnt fix the Theft Strike bug tho, when he does not teleport or do ddamage and the cooldown still activates.
• Encounter and Daily powers now benefit more from the Power stat.
• Blitz: The snare from this power no longer stacks with other snare effects.
• Deft Strike: This power no longer places the Rogue in front of certain dragons.
• Duelist's Flurry: Credit for the bleed damage is now properly attributed if multiple Rogues apply stacks.
• Duelist's Flurry: Up to 10 stacks of the bleed effect can be applied to a single enemy regardless of how many Rogues applied them.
• Duelist's Flurry: The bleed now ticks more slowly.
• Impossible to Catch: The Stealthed version no longer removes DoT effects when activated, but does prevent them from being applied while active.
• Shocking Execution: The base damage of this power has been reduced by 60%.
• Smoke Bomb: The snare from this power no longer stacks with other snare effects.
• Feat: Catspaw Style: This feat now properly reduces the target's defense.
• Feat: Deadly Momentum: The Critical Severity buff from this feat has been reduced to match the tooltip.
• Feat: Ruthless Efficiency: The Armor Penetration buff from this feat has been reduced to match the tooltip.

Assuming the bug where Flurry's bleed stops working is fixed, a single Rogue in a group will still be good. Without that fix, might as well not even bother playing end-game on a TR.

But we'll be the only class where taking a second of the same class is idiotic. I don't know what the devs are thinking there.

If it is as bad as you two are making it out to be welcome to what the GWF's have been dealing with. I feel for you guys, and hope they don't hit you with the nerf hammer too hard. Personally I'm not even playing the game anymore until they either fix GWF's or release a new class.

that one mark on the TR patch notes... is making the ability score in TR completely ruined already..., since the main attribute for TR is Dex... not Str which is in this game provides more power from it... and nerfing the lvl 50 shocking execution, that was too deep for 60% and I would say the name is definitely a normal execution... not a shocking anymore, if they still gonna stick with it... I'm done with TR... since they have been stained by the childish idiot PvPer...

I don't know if you try playing in the Preview server where all the GWF changes were applied to them. GWF have more def, more attack, and less cool-down. GWF now are even more powerful and in my opinion they deal 2 much damage since they are DPS. They can deal up to 80k with normal attack. So might as well go ahead and try the new changes before you quit like others do. Good luck

Power is completely different from strength (STR), they are not directly related.

I think the major problem is not just TR's but that every class, except for TR's, can stun lock or push back. Every other class has the ability to immobilize or distance themselves from combat. As a TR you HAVE to be at your target AND NOT stunned to get the job done. Hell, everyone can even target TR's through stealth! I think the TR's Dazzing Blow should not silence but stun/IMMOBILIZE the target for x amount of time.

yeah, you are right, TR sometimes cant even 1v1 a GF and they are made for 1v1, lot of stun related things on tr makes him useless, I know it is because I created a CW and tr cant even touch me most of the times...

I tested the TR changes on the Test Shard (like all of you should do before posting such useless opinions, its there to answer this questions)

The changes actually made the TR damage more sustained in PVP with the added Power stat effect. Our Shocking Execution had its *base* damage lowered by 60%. You are forgetting a lot of the damage comes from the %hp multiplier. Also, it gets more damage from the Power stat to negate some of the lost damage. I was still one shot-ing people with 1/3-1/2 hp. Which is what it was intended to do. That was against Cleric/GWF/CW. Lashing Blade with the added stealth 100% crit chance was awesome. I was taking 1/2 of players hps, then finishing them off with Shocking Execution. Simply one shot-ing people 3/4 hp with Shocking Execution was dumb, and I am glad it was patched.

As for PVE. The crit severity nerf hurt, but only for hard crit stackers. Stack 100% Power now and you will see your damage from actively using Encounters go up, a lot. So now instead of spamming At-Wills and reserving Encounters for survivability to get the best possible damage output, you will instead use At-Wills when your damage Encounters are on CD. It made for about the same damage output, but the new patch makes you stay actively using Encounters to maximize your DPS.

Like I said, had you went to the Test Shard before posting, you wouldn't have any of these questions.

I disagree with this because I understand the reasoning for it being a daze(power lockout). if it merely immobilized them it would not keep them from attacking you which is what it is supposed to do. it's the rogue form of damage mitigation. and yes it is nearly useless in PvP this way because there are 4 other people that are going to 2-3 people attacking you just because you are likely the closest target.

None of these changes sound unreasonable. In fact, all the changes on the horizon across the board look as though they are striving to achieve a "place" for each respective class in cooperative efforts as well as solo....

But, this is all on pretense and paper. It's too soon to blare victory trumpets or sing your doomy dirges.

I admit that shocking execution is very strong but CW has a daily like that too, so why didnt they nerf it? That is what I dont understand, I would accept 20% on base damage but 60% its just too much, we cant forget that each level of the power adds 10% so it will be useless at max level. And then they should get power a bit up on the tr item if they want to make this viable...

CW daily hits for less, doesn't ignore all armor and defenses, can be dodged, was dealing huge dmg only because of stacking buffs which is nerfed.
Just to name a few.

Maybe now you will do exactly what all skilled leet rogues to and use lurkers assault or whatever its called.

Every daily can be dodged dude, tr's daily its just more dificult to predict because sometimes you think he's going to fall and land it and then he takes more time...

Seen it enough times to be able to tell when his should land. Never managed to dodge it a single time nor have I seen anyone do it.

Its easy - just go here http://nw.perfectworld.com/preview, choose a toon to copy (wont effect the one on live), open the launcher like normal, log in, now you will see a second tab that says "neverwinter preview" right above the download bar, click on that, download the test version of the game, and your set. next time you want to go to real game just choose the original tab and it will load you to there.

this is a severe over reaction. You guys were barely touched and you are screaming the class is dead? seriously? you might as well quit mmo games now.

not even being mean. its just the truth. if you play mmo games your class is always going to be adjusted, forever.

also gwf and gf are currently the least desirable classes in the game, period. bringing them up to par does not kill your class. get over it.

That's all fine and dandy but... who's going to pay for my respec? How about all the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of AD I used for enchantments? If they make such drastic changes, they HAVE to compensate us in some way. Really, it's not my fault, why should I have to be punished because they didn't get it right. I know I will not ever spend any more real $$ on this game. It's really not fair tbh.

I did already dodge it a few times, the timing has to be perfect...
But if it was impossible they would probably not give GF a way to block it.

You are completely HAMSTER. Bahahaha. First time in a game that had balance changes? What about expansion where you have to get ALL NEW gear? Subscription based games do this, but yet you think in a F2P game they should give you back everything you spent if they make balance changes or release an expansion?

Shocking Execution was something I virtually never used in PvE before the changes. This just cements Lurkers Assault as the go-to Daily for my Executioner TR. Since LR ups the bleed damage by 60% I'm completely surprised they nerfed Shocking Execution, but I can only assume this was a purely PvP nerf.

It of course renders Shocking Execution almost entirely moot in boss fights.

When I have to spend $6 for a respec? You're **** right! And this is NOT an expansion, that's something totally different. I don't expect to get everything back, I expect to be able to CHANGE to the new layout without FURTHER cost to ME. I don't think that is at all unreasonable.

EDIT:
Also, in most other games, when they make changes like this, they DO reset all your gear! EQ2, LoTRO, WoW, just to name a few. So you can Bahahaha all you want.
