Thanks for posting this tip! This is something we receive feedback on regularly, so it's good to know that someone was able to discover this!

When I try it, I get the 15 second to logout and once logged out I still have to enter my password again. annoying.

No... There's a command to set the zoom on you screen with the HUD on and everything. Someone told me the /command and I zoomed out to 75% or whatever it was. It's actually much nicer, can even bring out to make it look more like Dragon Age.

Anyway here it is, I looked it up:

    /gfxsetdefaultfov (value 55 default)

    I'm playing /gfxsetdefaultfov 75

Nice job trying to look awesome though with the B key comment.

Yeah, no offense but this should not have to be "discovered". It should be default behaviour.

Indeed, it is such a basic function it's hard to imagine how they overlooked it.

In an earlier thread on this topic, one of the devs (if I'm remembering correctly) said that they plan to enable this in a future patch.
So, presumably, there's a reason it isn't right now..... only guess I have is that they want to wait until the shards are merged? But, like I said, that's a total guess.

it is a great post, but there is always those types of people that say its bad because you have to wait 15 seconds to exit. so its not as positive on the forum..

Looks like there's no longer a 15 sec wait in the build currently in the preview server.

So after applying this: /bind 0 gotocharacterselect
You can just hit "0" then click "exit now" , it drops you straight to the character screen.
