I have a beef about the Celestial coins disappearing if you don't invoke in a 24-29 hour period. I work in the oilfield. I might be flying somewhere for a job and might be traveling that long with no opportunity to log in. So if I have X amount of CC's, and I go offshore or have to fly to Karratha or some other destination, I am screwed. I just lose my coins. So I will never be able to utilize them in a manner that is worth a whit. It would be nice to have a way to suspend an account, or something similar, if we are going to be unavailable for a known period of time.
I know it works against the intent of it as a "perk", but it is kind of aggravating.
What you propose goes exactly against the "daily login reward" system that coins are and will never happen.
In worse case you are loosing chance for coalescent ward, nothing you won't be able to live without in a week.
The celestial coins are a way of encouraging people to log on and run around in the game every day. They are also a way of developing an underclass. Setting aside the reprehensibility of that marketing ploy let me encourage you to take a second look. It may not be as bad as it first seems.
True, the celestial coin will melt away but when you do your devotions you get another brand of currency as well. Ardent Coins.
Ardent coins do not fade like celestial coins. In the game text it says that they “remain until spent”. Or they should, give or take some game stability.
It can be tricky because the two coins look very similar, the differences being a slight change in color and a crescent to one side rather than the other. They are labeled clearly on the currency tab in your inventory but it can be harder to tell what is being sold for which coin.
The 365 coin angel, for instance, can be bought with ardent coins, the sort that sticks around. If you don’t log in at least once a day it will take longer than a year to get her, but the coins are not supposed to disappear so it is possible.
Here is a guide to the currencies with more information and less ennui.
Well, I have a different complaint on the same subject. I do log in every day to get the ardent/celestial coins, but hate the fact that they're tied to the invocation process.
Invocation simply rewards far too much XP, XP I don't even want, especially if I only have enough time to log in and secure my coins but not play. You can't do that very often before the invocation XP puts you in a position where you're out-leveling your equipment, your crafting levels, and level restricted content like skirmishes.
And yet, if I want to continue getting these coins I have to invocate. Shouldn't the act of just logging in be enough? Why force us to press CTRL-I and earn a ridiculous amount of XP in the process?

The invoke has other benefits, like AD or a God's blessing. And you can invoke one an hour not just once a day. My guess is since they planned to do the invoke feature, they tied the coins to it instead of creating a different code path.

You can earn far more AD for far less XP through the Leadership profession. The only way (unfortunately) to earn Ardent/Celestial coins is through invocation (which is annoying if you're trying to avoid the extra experience gains).

Point given, the XP system seems to be geared for those who want to shortcut to the "end-game". Cryptic needs to put in an XP sink for thoses who are not trying to race to the level cap.
darn it all, you are being cheated out of 1 crafting node's worth of junk once a week, or some low tier enchantments like the ones that drop off every other mob.
The rewards for the vanishing coins are very, very weak. Yes it stinks to not get yours, but its not some sort of game-breaking loss of loot or anything. The most interesting thing so far in one of the crafting packs was residum.

But, the best you can get, the 7-day enchantment box, isn't even that great. It's really not worth the concern.
Yeah, I consider the profession pack superior to the enchantment box, unless you grind the enchantment box to get coalescent wards.
The profession pack allows me to craft many, many pairs of pants.
