I just logged in (sort of) and everything seems to be in a state of extreme lag. Chat not working, rubber banding, message at top of screen that server has stopped responding etc. I can find nothing new on the forums for this and all that seems to be going on is a general launcher issue.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a known issue and if so, where are the PWE updates? I can deal with the game being down and am only looking for some info. Thanks.
I am not in EU, I am in San Diego. Have never had a lag issue at all before this morning.
I have this canned response ready for copy/paste when these kinds of threads show up. 95% of the time the people are in Australia or Eastern EU, and t he threads devolve to HAMSTER-fests about how Americans think they are the kings of the world and EU always gets neglected.
Consider it fuel for trollfires

I am having the same issue, also in the San Diego, California area. It seemed to start sometime yesterday. It takes a real long time to log in, and once i'm in, i get the "could not connect to server" message on my screen for a while, i managed to invoke and get my astral, but it took about 5 minutes after actually hitting the button before i got it. Constant rubberbanding all over the place, the game is completely unplayable like this.
can one of you guys run a tracert to 66.28.4.42 and post your results here?

Hmm... Can you guys run tracert on the Boston Servers? Any crazy weather phenomena happening in the mid-west right now?
I'm looking for the server address but I can't find it in the forum searches I made.... something that starts with 214 is all I remember
There are server status pages for other Cryptic/PWE games but I cannot find one for NW.

Your fourth hop obviously stands out. And that would be from your ISP. Is 'Cox' an internet service provider in the US? If so, are you guys all on that same ISP?

I have cox, most people in san diego do...I guess its probably an ISP problem?

Dunno, it's the only thing that stands out in the trace. I'm not a network guy, I'm a software dev
But I'm just going though a process of elimination. Game works fine on east coast, works fine for EU. Twitch streamers still up, and I'm on Gateway. So it's not necessarily Cryptic at fault.
You guys are mostly all hailing from SD, so its just natural to assume the issue is localized. But you are on the internet posting on a forum, so your net isn't down altogether...
Maybe call and ask if anything has been reported, and explain your situation?
EDIT: re-reading through the thread, I just saw that 4 of you are confirming to be in San Diego and all have issues maintaining a connection. I would definitely call Cox, complain, and try to get some free months service
It is a West-Coast thing. My friend and I are West Coast Canada and US and getting the same staggering lag.
It just happened yesterday night.
Something must of happened.
This is NOT an ISP issue it is simply all on NWO. I have done dozens of tests already.

Actually, it's more like all on Cogenco, but hey, you blame who you want to blame. Also, would love to see some of your 'dozens of tests'.
You know that Cryptic has an ISP just like we all do, right?

Sorry what? I am no where near in Cali and my friend is in Canada. It's still West Coast idiot. Why do you need my tests about my connection when they are perfectly fine?

There are my test results. It doesn't happen to the rest as my guild was unaffected by it who were East Coast.
I've already called you idiot and HAMSTER on your other threads. I am glad you hop around trying to find me.
This is what you get for trying to help.
Oh well, I'll be logging on to Neverwinter now and playing the game. Have fun on the forums, buddy.
Edit: I suppose I'll just close by saying this: "Cryptic Studios, a wholly owned Perfect World subsidiary,[1] is an American massively multiplayer online role-playing game developer headquartered in Los Gatos, California."
Soooo Yeah, if it was really a "west-coast" thing with perfect world like you say it is, it's pretty safe to assume Cryptic would know about it, with them being based on the West Coast, and all. But hey, you went to speedtest.net and called one of your friends who works in a call center, so it must be all PW's fault.
Aye today the game seems to be in a awful state. I bet it has something to do with the new expansion for STO, which I can't even play due to the over the top of DCs I have been having. And this game is in the same state it seems I am being kicked about ever five mins. Funny thing is this was not happening at all. I am just wondering when is there going to be a company that creates a game without all this nonsense. MMOs have been out way too long for this problem to be happening you would think someone does these type of studies to make sure this problem doesn't happen so much.

You aren't helping as you know nothing about this anyways. Software Dev? You are a ****ty one if anything lol! Maybe learn something basic about networking first before you try to offer help on a networking issue. (Use Google which you have done for the 5 years in your ****ty *** degree)
It's 100% on NW that the connection is broken as of last night. They don't need to bring the servers down to fix it either.
Also, no one cares if you go on and play. It's not some kind of bragging right that you get to go on and sit in town doing nothing LOL.
Oh btw, typical "White Knight" and "Troll" you are pretty bad at this btw. Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to properly help people haha. Oh wait you are probably way too old for that.

Servers are in East Coast USA. No lag here.
Additionally, it started about the same time as this issue with the PE zone loading.

The servers aren't down, I'm on the gateway. That's not the issue, it's routing. Last time they had an issue it was a trans-atlantic fibre cable.
You guys all seem to be going from cali -> boston, and I haven't seen anyone from EU complain, so it seems to be an west-east coast thing.
