Unable to Authenticate

So when I try to log into the game I get this Error "Unable to Authenticate" after I put in my name and password. this appears where you normally see the patching progress in the screen.

So currently I can't log into the game at all. Anyone know why this is happening?

    same, just relogged because i had zoning bug now i cant get back in. Missing delves =((

    Been having it since the patch. Only workaround atm seems to be turning on fast launch and restarting the patcher. Although this doesn't work all the time either.

    Although for whatever reason I do seem to get more lag when I do that. Who knows, it's aggravating :P

    I'm having the same problem, I've been able to log in and have been in for about 2 hours, then 15 minutes ago I crashed out and now can't get back in.
    Same thing, Unable to Authenticate message where usually the patching progress thing is.

    same problem here as well, but I tried turning on fast launch and force verify in the launcher's options and I still get the Unable to authenticate....

    same here. both launcher and gameclient.exe unable to log in. this is NOT the maintance time mentioned on the launcher which is supposed to be in another 2.5 hours :( so I'm now expecting that the server will NOT be back up until after the maintance?

    Having the same problem with Star Trek Online. Must be a PW issue.

    I'm also having the same issue. Also flushed my DNS and reset my router neither helped.

    Same issue. Logged out to switch characters and received 'unable to authenticate' message. Exited to desktop and tried logging back in, with same result. Also tried their DNS flush suggestion from a recent post, and still nothing. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    just a further info, directly from gameclient gets 'connection to account server timed out'

    server light is green... and its 2 hours before maintainence but getting unable to authenticate error..please advise....

    same here. disconnected to fix the spider dungeon party problem and now i can't get in. i just spent 40 mins trying to find a group and now i'm going to miss the whole dd...total mood killer

    Having the Same issue with Champions Online, looks like it is a server thing

    Same deal. Tried to switch out character (Btw, WHY can we not log out to the character select screen?) and then I couldn't get back in.

    Flush DNS, PC and Router restarts - nothing.

    Same here. Thanks pizzamurai for the idea, but fast launch doesn't seem to be working for me at least.

    same issue. and to add for the last week i been walking forward slowly "unstoppably" , logging out and in 5-10 times finally helps.
