I'm going to dispute it with paypal cause it doesn't seem like PW care at all to be honest, might give paypal a call to try and speed things up a little.

Whereas you are suggesting he do what? Pursue a chargeback due to a support snafu, thereby possibly having his PayPal account frozen or closed entirely?

What a lame attempt at threatening people...

The one who should be punished is PWE for having zero customer support. He tried to contact them, the failure is on their part.

He may proceed with chargeback/dispute action.

First, you need to try for every polite possible way to get your account unbanned, then you can try to ask for a refund.

Its a loop, you cant ask for a refund while you are banned.

If you decide to go with a chargeback be prepared to be banned from all PWE games and forums. Oh NOES! :o

Paypal provdes 45 days to dispute a payment.

Honestly, I'd say give Cryptic/PWE a reasonable period of time to answer your ticket (a week is best) before taking any excessive action. If they don't answer it within a reasonable time, then take it further.

I'm pretty sure that Paypal will sort it for you with minimal pain. I hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction shortly.

Please do that. And don't let any other fanboy/mod tell you otherwise by vomiting empty threats.

Not gonna happen, as I said earlier I did it and PW plead no contest and I got my money back.

I've been waiting just a little longer than a week, I opened my ticket on the 11/05/2013 which is 12 days ago just to have it closed, I've then opened another on the 18th with no response at all.

I wouldn't really mind if they just unbanned my account, I would be happy with that then I'm at least getting something but to have my account banned and out of pocket €55.99 as well is a bit much.

PWE has already has so many complaints and charge back with every major card company and pay[pal the last couple weeks, that pretty much anyone disputing them will win.

Why do you think you'r so entitled? You broke the terms of your agreement if your account was banned.

I've just PM'd Somenator and the admin which is online right now, hope this could speed things up a little and get everything sorted cause it's just annoying at this point.

Personally I find it quite disappointing that you're having to PM a forum admin to get this matter resolved.

I wonder if the banks will start to take notice at the high volume of charge backs. They don't like having to deal with it any more than we do.

They do. And the action they take is, they flag payments for review, which causes PWE to temporarily ban the account until they can make sure it wasn't a fraudulent charge. So by all means, encourage more of that, because it makes the forums entertaining.

Yeah I missed that part...if your account is banned, you aren't getting a refund. They aren't holding your money, your money is gone.

Not sure if that's true. Problem is if you pretend the game is in Beta, and not released, in some jurisdiction this might mean you are eligible for a refund as you have not gotten the end product. *shrug* the OP should try first to contact the firm more directly, if it fails see with the bank directly.

Spot on, One thing Cryptic did have when they were owned by NCsoft and Atari was decent Customer service, they really need to improve here.

Why, no, that can't possibly have happened to actual people. Why, that would mean warning that could happen isn't an empty threat, and that would mean forum trolls are wrong.

That would be mass hysteria! Like, cats and dogs living together!

As you are obviously sided with PWE and their business methods, you really shouldn't be bumping threads like that.
