I have been now in open Beta for 2 weeks and had a Foundry mission out there for at least 9 days.
No one has seen it.
No one has played it.
I am depressed!!!
I know that this is Beta and it can be improved - so here are my ideas...
1. Make a new tab for or new quests that read 0-5 - 6-10 11-20 etc... for reviews = that will get rid of the chaff like the quests that you can not finish i.e.. behind a closed door etc...
2. Devs should monitor and get rid of quests who start and can not complete after say 30 tries and just delete them.
3. They should have 1 day a week when the only bonus diamonds are for foundry - and I mean the whole day - and the less the reviews the more the Diamond reward for the playing.
I am just a person who wants some artistic value seen.... so
nw-dm9udumuk = A night with terrible terrance
My Foundry mission atm...
Must use code not name atm = open Beta
Really ... I feel without my suggestions and yours I think the core of what this is great game, is and can be; will to fall over.
The devs need our response and our creativity will not survive without a way for us to say we are not being seen...

Just had a go, I literally could not find the third encounter, I ran around in circles looking for it, perhaps separate them into separate objectives so there is a place marker on mini map? Will try again once sorted.

The problem is that there's that much in the Foundry that it's difficult to get your quest reviewed without advertising it, that's why there's so many threads offering reviews and public showing of your quest to get it too peoples attention.

True, true..
I want an in game answer like
In the 'for review' section like they are scoped like 0-5 reviews and 5-10 and 10-20 review and that way at least they are broken down.
My second point was the lesser the reviews the more the diamonds when foundry comes up or = realistically reviewing titles not yet seen = more reviews on a given day = but also getting rid of those that no one can finish after say 30 tries.

Yeah, they need to up the rewards for reviewing unseen quests.
Something that I noticed is that Foundry missions are coloured (Australian (aus) spelling) the same as missions that are now obsolete or below level- they could even be the colour red, or green or whatever....foundry missions are scoped to the level so why in the "l" symbol are we mistaken????

I'd run some quests of the "for review" section every day, but my fps die as soon as I hit the button, so I can't scroll nor do anything else there. Hence I can't help you guys, sorry.
Another problem that I've encountered doing random for review quests is that a lot of them are broken and I didn't want to die a needless amount of times.

They need a new tab in the foundry: a "test: do not play" tab or something like that.
OK peeps... I have seen that 150+ people have viewed this forum and still I have gotten not 1 review. Maybe it had something to do with 'chinspinner' earlier having problems finishing the quest. I assure you that the MOB is in there - there is an Archer in Ambush mode that likes to hide and turn invisible - as an ambusher does and have realised that he is too hard to see.... I have moved him to appear straight in front of the player at start so there should be no problems now- please someone play and review and leave comments in game...

Yeah, this bugs me as well, not sure what causes it, but as soon as i click it, BAM! Slows to a crawl.
The problem is that people publish a lot of HAMSTER which means you are loathed to try a lot of new quests.
Pretty much this. Since queues seem to take ages for dungeons for me, and i've got over 9k gearscore, i've been trying out a lot of new and for review foundry quests. The problem is there are so many unfinished, bugged, or xp exploit quests that it gets depressing after a while. Toss in bad descriptions, no reviews to know what troubles to look for, or misleading descriptions, and it gets even harder finding the gems. Now there are even people sticking the end chest in geometry, so you can't actually review it, and you have even more troubles.

I lag out pretty bad as well, but can at least scroll through them slowly. While looking for mine today, I searched about 20% of the "review" section before the servers went down. about half of those were either test or xp maps going strictly by the names. The devs really need to do something about splitting up the review section into categories.

What they need to do is reward players 1000 rough AD for being the first 100 players to play/rate and review a new quest up to 5 new quest per day.
Boom, plays.
This.
Current play and review system is a catch 22 - you can't have your quest listed for plays because you don't have enough plays (reviews). Add a completely broken "for review" window and making anything in Foundry is useless unless you are making quick leveling/daily farm mission.
Quality of quests also doesn't help. I had to quit few reviewed quests because authors don't realise how difficulty scales with level in NWO - at 60 lvl their stacked encounters were no fun to play (and it wasn't in challenge oriented H&S maps but in quests advertised as solo or story, so...).
Those quests had all marks of maps tested only with Foundry DM characters or low level characters of people who are playing mostly Foundry/with Foundry.
In my opinion things like number of reviews and star rating are completely pointless, they shouldn't be here and the only thing should be number of plays and visible comments.
One player can spend days crafting map, then present it to other authors and be reviewed for 3 or 4 stars because quite honestly his map do requires being reworked.
Second player can spend only few hours crafting basic map for daily Foundry quest and will be given 4 or 5 stars because most of players doesn't care about quality, only about quick AD/XP.
Really, this star rating should be completely removed, instead quests should be separated into tabs like Story/RP/Social (maps like houses)/Combat/Etc, there should be also more place for written reviews.
I'm not interested how many stars quest have - im interested WHY it was liked.
2. Devs should monitor and get rid of quests who start and can not complete after say 30 tries and just delete them.
Absolutely not! Some of those unfinishable quests are there for a reason. The author may be keeping them unfinishable to combat test things while they work on things. There is an entire video tutorial on how to lock your quest making it unfinishable by most players for this very reason! No, no matter the reason I never support deleting someone's work.

i personally dont have time to be playing other peoples foundry missions unless they return the favor, I'm trying to spend most of my time with my sequal to the adventures of sherlock colms, its a finished quest thats bug free, and highly praised by everyone that has played it.
As for trying to get more people to play foundry missions I think there should be a real nice bonus for the first 5 reviews of a map since there the ones taking the risk of wasteing there time on a possible dud mission, after that lower the bonus a bit but have it equal or better then the 1000+ plays, also add more stats to foundry missions, like how many people had to quit the map or how many deaths people have had and what classes die the most.

I'm happy to play and review new quests that can be completed, and since I haven't published anything of my own yet, I don't even require anything in return. However, I usually like to know what I am going to play and how long it may approximately take, so I tend to just look at the forum here to find posts from authors who briefly describe their new quests. (Preferably in a separate thread so that it is easier to locate.)
The tools provided in game to find new quests are limited and there is just too much stuff floating around, like personal homes, incomplete quests, tests, etc. There is nothing wrong with those, but it makes it harder to discover new, "finished" quests that could benefit from plays and reviews.
So, authors, post new threads about your quests here on the forum and maintain them (update with news, perhaps include a screenshot and a changelog, and add relevant information). It won't get you thousands of plays, but it may get you enough to kickstart your creation.

It is ok I have already realised my folly not by your reasoning but by griefers - but you have a great point - or do you??? The unfinished quest do not need to be there they just need to not submit it or if they do, withdraw it .
I understand your reasoning though - I also do not want to be unfair to a persons artistic value. But people spend time playing them and no reward means they will not play again.
if it I is there for play testing by themselves in the real game world then say so in the description "DO NOT PLAY - JUST A TEST" .

"DO NOT PLAY" labels aside, some things other than combat behave differently live than in Foundry preview, and can only be properly tested live.
Yes that is true but after you have played it you can then withdraw it. Until the Devs accept it, it is always changeable and whithdrawable.
LOL the point of the whole post was that no one could see the new foundry Missions.
Even today after 3 weeks the same ones are still on the top of the Need review list and I have played a few and you can not finish - but they are still there.
If you want to complain about people not finishing your quest and maybe, just maybe that might hurt you - just withdraw it - you are not deleting it, you are just taking it away from devs showcasing it.
The next time you update or submit will say a new date submitted.
No one will even find your quest at the moment anyway.... but if it is there people might play and if they do and it is unfinished, it is unfair! So withdraw it after your play testing is fair is what the gist is .

Mine was like 99% bug free by the time I published it.

No, you really can not play test them.. You get a few abilities within preview so you can approximate combat but the AI does not work in preview. The Devs have admitted that testing in preview is broken and is "on the list" of things to be improved. The funny thing is those who are so upset about people testing their work by publishing it over look the "do not play" "testing only" tags that people add to the descriptions.
Sure, some authors create content that stays in the list unfinishable. Some of that content is currently used for guild halls, personal houses and a plethora of other RP purposes. The problem is not the review tab and whether something is published in an unfinishable state, the issue is the search engine driving it. The Devs have admitted that too, and it is much higher on their to do list for implementation.

To add to this, you cannot test difficulty, given the limited toons you can test with you simply cannot.
More importantly you are blinkered by knowing how your quest should work, you might think you tried to fall through every hole, but you did not. Someone who does not know where they are going will find a new one.
