The Reign of Misrule occurs ten days after Higharvestide, and is usually a single day during which any and all guild and faith oaths may be broken, so long as no death or destruction occurs. Paladins bash it out in bar brawls, monks with vows of silence trade tales and jokes, and clerics? Well. . . However, such applies only to those native to the Vilhon Reach, in which Turmish lies. Foreigners do not enjoy the same immunity to their oaths. Finally, there is one binding rule: It is a crime to discuss anyone's actions during the Reign.
The Feast of the Moon exists throughout Faerun as a holy day of rememberance and of Kelemvor and Tempus, as well as followers of Shar who name it The Rising of the Dark. However, neither of these are the same as the Turmish take on the festival by the same name. Also known as The Festival of Lovers, many weddings take place around this day, and even on it. Lovers must seek out and find each other in places that are strange or new to them, and must take different routes to meet each other there. Many arm themselves, as the cult of Malar, god of the hunt, has taken to hunting down and murdering wandering lovers during this festival.
