Oh well, i guess if you think about it, it makes sense. PWE will not allow Cryptic to rollback. Why? Well for one, the refunds or tickets and complaints will overload the worthless support team.
But more importantly and take a moment to think about this logically. There is now a tremendous amount of AD in the game. This means inflation And that means people have to buy MORE zen to get the same item of yesterday.
Hard to expect anything fair from PWE.

If this continues to be the case and rollback does not happen i will not be returning.
THe reason behind it is clear. If they roll back they lose money. And maybe they dont have the ressources for a rollback. The game was designed and only a handful of people are responsible for it now.
But the main point i think is the money they generated. A rollback means giving the money they earned back- wich is bad business decision. THats also why a wipe will never come to frution. What they can do is look for accounts that generated a huge amount of ad in this short time and bann them or strip theyr AD to 0.
Everything ells is just bad business decision.
LOL. PR speak at its best. Doesn't mean they are or are not thinking about it. Same sentence slightly rephrased is: we haven't told anyone we are planning to do a rollback.
To be honest though its about what we should expect. They don't want to say anything concrete one way or the other till they see how far back this thing goes. Hopefully the rumors of it going on since day 1 are false. Also hopefully, they can find an easy way to track down the abusers and illicit AD.
this will cost them the entire game. A 24 hour rollback might cost them some Zen transactions, but it's good for the game's future.
Even if you ban the accounts that generated this mess, the Astral Diamonds are already in the economy. So when the AH get's online again. People will post the same T2 gear for not 500k but 5-10 mil AD. However, you still get the same amount of 5300 zen for every 50 euros and sell it at a max rate of 500 ad per 1 zen.
This means if people don't quit this game, it is just good business, because the amount of Zen purchased will increase. It could be a gamble they are willing to take, since this looks like a sinking ship. Especially when Rift is going F2p. I was never planning to play another WoW type of game, but since i am bored and well it will be free. Why not?
72 hours later when the ban is off, i will consider twice before i log back in.. i'm not gonna return to bug fest.. cba
Lol this is funny cause you just wasted your time filing this. The BBB is useless now in the US
I agree with this. I am genuinely surprised, but I'm giving this a few more days and hope for a sensible decision on their end. But this statement is concerning.
Perhaps they will do something like a reversal of all auctions, exchange transactions, store purchases and AD vendor purchases, but that would still leave the problem with all the exploited AD being stashed away and distributed. A 24-48 hours rollback would be the cleanest solution. But the longer the servers are up, the smaller the chance for that to happen, I think.
I wouldn't be too worried just yet. The wording on that twitter post was just convoluted. They've already came back and said on the forums that a shard-wide rollback is not off the table. Hopefully they can find a way to sort it out.
Every transaction is tied to an account. Ban the ****ers and let's move on.
LOL. That twitter post is after the update to the sticky thread where they said they ARE considering a shard wide rollback.
They have no idea what's going on.
you might just have bought a cat that was given by exploiter to his friend, who decided to sell it to you. You got a 3rd hand cat, sort of :P Which could be taken away, but i doubt they will give your diamonds back.
just do a rollback for gods sake, i doubt anyone is against it. Well except maybe people with trillions AD :P
and btw what happened to all those 'its a beta its a beta' people? So much about it being in a 'real' beta, lol The game pretty much crashed today, and they still dont dare to make a rollback.
beta. sure
