Talking with a friend right now. He has received, as of the time of this writing, 21 e-mails from Perfect World Entertainment alerting him that his account has been temporarily banned due to a payment dispute after he requested a charge-back from his bank. Each e-mail simply asks him to open a support ticket if he believes this payment dispute to be in error. Each e-mail comes roughly 90 seconds apart, and sometimes duplicate copies are sent at the same time.
Is anybody experiencing anything similar? Post here.
Im a lifetime subscriber on STO and if I want my money back from D&D:Neverwinter because they screwed the game up it better not affect my STO.
If I were you I would (very carefully) phrase that request to them directly rather than chargeback without trying other alternatives, they would be within their rights to permaban you from all PWE games. If I chose to chargeback, I'm expecting to lose my STO account. Maybe because of the scale of mess up however, they might choose to be nice. I doubt it.
I've never needed to give my bank anything when I've done a charge back. What crazy banks do you deal with.
Sometimes banks will require some kind of proof of communication with the company on the issue, depending on how long it's been since the initial purchase. If this is it then that's fine. If you've never had a problem great, shut up.

It is standard practice to ban any account that does a chargeback. Happens in every single MMO.

Why are you telling me to shutup? Because I asked if he knew how to block emails (solving problem) then answering your response with an answer you didn't like? Good guy over here.

"It's never happened to me so it won't happen to anybody else". That's not how you treat the situation. He's being safe and trying to maximize his chances of getting his money back since it's been so long since his Founder's pack purchase so why should he have to e-mail block the company since they can't stop sending him e-mails. It's not his problem to fix, it's Perfect World's. Maybe understand that first.

When did I say "It's never happened to me so it won't happen to anybody else" why are you making things up?

He might need to give his bank something, even if you never have. "I've never needed to give my bank anything when I've done a charge back" [so why would he].

If the emails are duplicates, it shouldn't be hard to block that specific message, without blocking others from PWE.
PWE's got enough HAMSTER to fix right now as-is; I doubt they care much about helping out an ex-customer.

Except I never said that, you just made it up and added it. Again why are you making things up?

This is normal.
If you are invested in both games, I would be careful. They would have every right to nuke your primary PWE account and access to all games.
Do you not know how to block emails?
It will effect your whole account. Methinks.

If your using the same account then yes doing a chargeback will get your STO account banned as well.

Is anybody else doing charge-backs on this game? Is this e-mail flood unique?

Fact is you cant deny you simply made it up. Not sure why I'm a troll when you are the one making false statements
And that is?
