Couldn't find this anywhere, so decided to do it myself... Started ripping and uploading the soundtrack:

unless if PWE sells the actual OST or he tries to make money from it they would have an extremely hard time trying to fight the fair use.
on a second note great job, this game has a great soundtrack and its nice to be able to listen to it at work.

Actually no. You are presenting a full product without presenting criticism or comments of your own about the subject. By your wrong interpretation, people could post tv shows and movies as well. Which they can't of course...cause ya know- it's not fair use.
Side note. Fair use has nothing to do with money or not. Daily Show uses clips from Fox and other news outlets every night and are able to do so under fair use. Jon Stewart is providing comments/critique. That's the proper way to interpret that law, as opposed to your erroneous one:)

If it's there, it's not because of fair use. It's because the company that owns it hasn't challenged it or doesn't care. Music specifically sees it as advertising many times. You can't tell me that you've never seen a video taken down from YouTube due to copyright infringement?
Now, I'm probably remembering parts of it wrong, I think that copyright law was being changed at the time, I am not a lawyer, and Canada is only one of the many countries of the world, but perhaps it would be a good idea to check for a similar restriction on excessive "fair use" in the copyright law of whatever country you currently live in.
Edit: Though, I do like the music, and would be very happy if Cryptic provided an official soundtrack, free or purchasable... (do they, and I just haven't seen a link to it yet?) (the convenience of having it all in playable audio files would be really nice.)
Requests?

Except that most of this game's soundtrack sounds like it has been re-purposed from STO.
Though I don't think it is on youtube any longer someone during open beta showed a video playing neverwinter with the Neverwinter nights and Icewind Dale soundtracks playing and the difference was amazing...pity we can't get that type of production here.
Back to cringing as Comic book alto sax music plays in my Dungeons.
do not reply to this mod note. instead, send us a PM to discuss it.
i'm actually interested in finding out who the composer(s) are for these tracks.
unless the songs are the same, "re-purposed" could simply mean that they were written by the same composer and the music is similar because of the composer's influence. it's also possible that the game's producers wanted similar sounding music and gave the other music as reference. having not played or heard STO's music, i can't really compare the two, however i do know that a lot of orchestrated music can have similarities. i've had other people compare the protector's enclave music to pirates of the caribbean soundtracks.
Kevin Manthei was the composer He was also the composer for STO and CO, many of the ambient and music tracks for all these games are one in the same.
wow that guy looks like he's been busy.
i found another name when i did a search... dan negovan as a composer of "additional music". having not worked as a composer in the gaming industry i don't know exactly what that means. i know there are many different pieces of music in the foundry that can be used and triggered in different ways, so perhaps that's the "additional music" but it'd be nice to have a list of all composers listed with their contributions.
I would love to know who wrote / recorded the Barrow Lords soundtrack ... I want more of it.
On another note, does anyone know a way to mod the music for the game? I would love a more dark ambient sound when I play.
if i'm wanting a different mood, i'll just turn the game music volume down (in options) and run winamp in the background.
